Purely opinion wise, I don't believe any true vampire, separate from human vampire, would go on T.V. parading it around unless they were all "coming into the light" en masse. I'm talking walking dead immortal need blood to survive Dracula types. There are people out there who have a fetish developed from one too many dracula movies, and sci-fi books. There are also people who feel the need for blood due to Anemia. As far as people without any of those problems.... I have this theory.
Blood can become addictive and habit forming, just like chocolate and fast food, etc. The woman in the second clip, and Don, have created a strong craving based on their like of the taste. It is easy for someone to be disgusted by it, just like how some people can't fathom how I like to chew aspirin, or how someone else likes to eat raw cookie dough.(You can get salmonella duh) I think that's gross, but it doesn't stop people from liking it. Anyway, sometimes you can feel like you NEED the food that is your favorite. In their case, media tells them that they will die without it, so they feel weak. You can fool your body into sickness like you can fake a pregnacy test. (false positives. you believe it so much your body produces those hormones) I believe some of these people have managed that.
As for the energy aspect, any person can learn to manipulate energies, and the same thing applies. If you do it often enough your body can become dependant on the energy and take in and release it unconsciously.
But I also believe there is a possibility of REAL vampires, just like I believe in the possibility of God and ghosts. Just because I haven't seen it, and just because there are a lot of fakes, doesn't mean they don't exist. Example, just because there are more hipocrites than true christians doesn't mean there is no God.
We still have a few hours until landfall, we're in southwest alabama, so we aren't getting the worst, but we should be getting a shitload of tornadoes. I'm waiting out the storm here. My first hurricane, and only a few short weeks since I moved here.
So far, the waves at gulf shores are about 6 feet, no rain yet, just lots of wind, but in a few hours it should get worse. New Orleans had a 1.9 million evac. Thousands more from other areas close to where the eye should hit.
