True love isn’t for me

I go through the motions

Without knowing love’s true identity

I’m looking for the one

Sad as some think it to be

The right woman for me

A woman who can be strong

And stand beside me

But when the trials

Reveal their obstacles

I stand, prepared to fight

The woman becomes a girl and runs



So here I go again

While I don’t mind making them

I’m not looking for friends

But so many times I’m left to break

Damn a heart that has to feel pain

In dark corners, I cry alone

No one has strength in heartache

I’m still looking high and low

If the right woman is reading this

I need you more than you know



I want to hold you, kiss you, love you

You have yet to know

How good I’ll treat you

I need my angel, please

I’m sick of the darkness I bleed

But despite everything

My resolve stays strong

I won’t give up looking for real love

It’s what I need

Something I won’t give up seeking



Until I unmask the truth

Through the demons

I will cut through

Through the false girls

That deceptively say “I love u”

With their blackened heart

These witches of a snake tongued art

The reason I feel so hurt

Why all my emotions feel burnt

These assassins of love



For too long a time, I have bled

Seeking love has left blood covered red

If you tear off my flesh

You will where my wounds live

Death and love torture me

Their intent is the same

To make me insane

Love is cruel

But I’ll keep chasing it

Because I’m love’s fool
