Sidney’s Counselling Records: Entry 03

11:06 Jul 18 2025
Times Read: 92

Back again, it’s been a minute!!! Finally opening this shit back up again in the middle of the night like I have been for the other entries I already uploaded. It’s very late, and here I am copying all this down again. Thought about ending this little series at the second chapter yesterday, but honestly I just can’t resist the mystery of it.

Still haven’t read any of this entry, hope you guys enjoy reading along with me

Brampton-Rutherford, Sidney

Pre-session notes: I’ve got a few checklists here for Sidney. ADHD, depression, anxiety, pretty much standard. There’s also one for general mental illness. I will admit, that one seems a bit more sketchy than the rest. I did get all of these off an Internet forum, but this one seems like it was designed by a wannabe therapist living in 2006. I think I’ll save it for a later date. We’ll see what Sidney thinks of these tests. Sid is also still on his good behaviour streak, good going Sidney!

Session 3 notes

-late ((Jasper here, I think this meant Sidney showed up late???? Very articulate Mr. Marion…))

-he’s staring at the test sheets with distain.

-I told him he could sit in the bean bag chair while he filled them out, and he seemed alright with it. He’s currently writing something, at least.

-seems more like scribbling

-I set them aside after he handed them back. Remember to review after session.

-talking a bit about his violent tendencies, he tells me he’s had them since he was a child. Fascinated with the human body. Maybe I can steer this somewhere else, perhaps have him channel it into a medical career?

-he showed me a dead spider that he stabbed through with a pencil to kill it. This could be a sign of ASPD, but it’s not substantial. It’s just a bug. He does seem to believe that’s a completely normal thing to show to someone else, though.

-moving on to sleeping habits, the bags under his eyes have marginally improved. Apparently he’s tried the meditation, and it didn’t work, but he told me he pictured himself in a forest as he fell asleep and it helped him get to sleep faster. I’ll continue to monitor his sleep in following sessions

-he says he wouldn’t be interested in art as a career unless he could do “anything he wanted.” Refuses to give context for whatever that means. Worrisome

-believes the art world is against people like him. Paranoia?

-pointed out the skatepark as a way to get some physical activity. He was intrigued about it, but didn’t really say anything of note about it other than that he’d check it out.

-not enough time to get to any art related exercises, but Sidney is opening up.

Post-session notes

Checking out these tests, they look a little strange. Some of Sidney’s checks completely miss the boxes. They drift to the side a bit and land elsewhere—probably not a great sign. Not sure what it could mean. It’s harder to interpret with the check marks strewn about the page, but I can make do. From what I’m seeing, it looks like he has hyperactive type ADHD, with a lot of spikes in the more impulsive aspects of the condition, which makes a lot of sense considering his character. For the depression and anxiety checklists, he doesn’t exactly hit the mark for depression. Anxiety, very much so. Having the same issue again on these tests where he’s marking off checks completely off from where the boxes are. They only really seem to drift to the side, not up or down, which makes it easier to determine what answer he meant, considering it’s all a simple yes or no.

Really not sure what the screwy placement of checks means. Best case, he has terrible vision, worst case he’s got some severe dyslexia. Either way it’s not that bad. There are a couple strange face-like scribbles in the corners of the page, reminiscent of the technique used in his drawings. That’s just him doodling.

Goals for following sessions include, follow-up on the checklists, discuss treatments, get into ADHD coping mechanisms. Focus on how he can utilize them in his school environment. Also check up on his sleeping.

I don’t want to picture a spider stabbed with a pencil ever again, thanks Sid. Cool to know he had ADHD just like me :)!! I could kind of tell just by talking to him that one time, when you have adhd you can sort of sense it on other people. Other neurodivergent folks know what I’m talking about.

Sidney also kind of sounds like he’s a regular on live leak. From what I’m reading I get the sense that he was a massive edgelord. No wonder everyone thought he was strange

Sidney’s Counselling Records: Entry 02

07:54 Jul 15 2025
Times Read: 154

Back again. Was out all day today, found some really cool stuff thrifting. Anyway, we both know what you’re here for, so enough with my life. Copying this down right now is still going to be the first time I’ve fully read through the second page, I’m not trying to skip ahead in all this lore.

December 11th, 2024

Brampton-Rutherford, Sidney

Pre-session notes: Sidney has had zero issues this week. Reinforcing this as a positive thing may be helpful. His violent tendencies have been the most problematic and persistent of his many bad habits.

Session 2 notes

-He hasn’t gotten worse, at least. Currently reviewing last week’s session notes, and discussing the week.

-seems to enjoy talking about his hobbies. That’s good.

-skateboarding, drawing, and (regrettably) taxidermy seem to be the things he is most interested in. I’m not here to judge tastes. Maybe steer towards the skateboarding and the drawing when bringing up hobbies.

-dad is a poor influence

-his sleeping is still poor. Discussing possible solutions: sleeping tactics, meditation, and if needed sleeping pills are all options. Medication should be a last resort.

-eager to be prescribed sleeping pills. Not a good sign. Avoid sleeping pills. ((Jasper here, the “avoid sleeping pills” is circled in red pen multiple times.))

-enjoys nature. Suggested nature walks, he seemed open to the idea. From what he tells me about his life it sounds like he doesn’t move around very much. Activity could improve mental health.

-showed me some art. It’s quite dark. Very scribble-y. Interesting. Maybe try some artistic activities to understand him better.

-still quiet, and slightly apprehensive, but less so than last session

-silence dragging on a bit.

-his fidgeting gets worse with no stimuli. Possible ADHD, inattentive type. Maybe look into trying a test.

Post-session notes

he’s much more talkative today, maybe compare notes to last week and see what may be the cause. Thinking it could be the lack of confrontation he’s had this week. Not a single punch thrown. Progress? I’m not too hopeful. This early in our sessions seems a little bit fast, for the condition he’s in, but I’m staying optimistic. Everything about this session is good news. Sid didn’t even slam the door on his way out.

Thinking I should set up some drawing exercises to get into his mind a little bit. He might express himself differently in his art, in a way I can more easily understand. It could also help him open up. Bring up the idea next session.

Goals for following sessions include: ADHD test, look for more potential symptoms of ASPD, art related exercises, follow up on insomnia coping mechanisms.

((Scribbled at the bottom of the page:)) I just remembered the skate park. Tell him about the skate park next session

This guy talks like he’s writing a fucking biography

Also there’s a little drawing attached to the 4th page, definitely by Sidney. Guessing it was gifted to Marion. I’m not going to read page 3 or 4 yet just because I want to commit to the reading as I post thing, but still cool. Looks like it was done in charcoal. I’ll probably put it up on my portfolio for any willing readers to see

Sidney’s Counselling Records: Entry 01

09:41 Jul 14 2025
Times Read: 185

My name is Jasper. I’ll start this off by saying, I’m a bit of a rascal at my school. I sneak into places I shouldn’t be and rarely get caught. Attics, rooftops, boiler rooms, all of it. I have a knack for getting around without eyes being drawn, and have always slipped under the radar easily. On top of that, I’m a decent lock picker and have experience getting around in the dark as a tagger.

When I found these records, I was snooping around as usual, far too late to still be in the school. It was around 7 pm, I’d been hiding in the bathroom for hours just so I could find a cool place to throw up some art (and maybe have a look at anything off-limits that caught my eye). I made my way to the front desk, then to the back of the office, and then the counsellors wing. One of our school’s shrinks had just quit his job, and being the nosy little bitch that I am, I beelined straight to his office. To my surprise, old student files had been left there in one of the cabinets. He was the type of guy to really obsess over trying to stay analog. I understand it to a point, but it’s all just out there for anybody to read. Anyway, I scrolled through each file, reading names and opening up the ones of kids I vaguely knew, until I found this one.

Sidney Brampton-Rutherford. I had spoken to him a couple times, he was a skinny fucker. Tall as hell too, maybe 6’4. He was in the 12th grade while I was in 11th (it’s summer break now, so technically I am still in 11th grade). Sidney was the weird type, he was always alone. Everyone said he was schizophrenic, but I’m not sure that’s true.

He had weekly scheduled visits with a counsellor, Mr. Marion. That’s how everyone knew he was fucked up. Our school doesn’t do scheduled visits, Marion set that up on his own. Anyway, apparently his Dad is a real redneck type and his Mom’s not quite in the picture. Sidney was bullied heavily, and he swung back. This usually made it all worse for him, but he kept doing it. He was a violent guy, he’d start a lot of fights. Beat up some of the most royalty students here, which threw his already dead reputation straight into a roaring bonfire. By grad he was pretty hated. I always felt a little bad for him. Not like I’m the peak of popularity either, you know?

That’s all I know about Sidney personally. The following is I’m pretty sure, a record of Mr. Marion’s first counselling session with Sid. I skimmed through it as well as the entire file, and from the snippets I read, the entirety of it is morbidly fascinating. I’m copying the words down into this journal post from the physical file.

Brampton-Rutherford, Sidney

Session 1 notes

-Sidney is clearly not the biggest fan of these little meetings I’ve arranged. He’s looking angry.

-I can’t help but notice how deep the bags under his eyes are. His response to my question about his sleep schedule is “sleeping is too hard.” Possible insomnia?

-very apathetic towards life in general. His foot keeps tapping. He fidgets quite a bit, I’ve noticed, look into that. Arms are crossed, body language is dismissive. Need to get to the root of his indifference and adversity to discipline.

(Unrelated to mental wellbeing, but he is coughing every few minutes. Ask him about it if this is recurring next week.)

-Sidney is staring into a corner. Every time I ask him what he’s looking at, he says “nothing”. I think I’m overthinking it. He’s a very sarcastic kid.

Post-session notes

Sidney barely looked at me through our hour long session. I asked him a few questions, the basics. His home life is fine. At least that’s what he tells me, but I don’t believe the kid. He’s too skinny, he looks malnourished. I know the school isn’t going to do anything and neither will the cops, so I’ll do it myself. I’m going to help him.

He’s standoffish and clearly dislikes people in general. He hasn’t shown much guilt about the Mason boy he assaulted today, I think following sessions should be spent trying to get to the bottom of his violent tendencies. His aggression comes from somewhere. My main suspect is his father, I’ve found reports from parent-teacher interviews where his parental unit has failed to show entirely, and a few where he’s just noted to be generally unhelpful. I’ve seen him around, and I know he hunts for sport. Something bad is going on in Sidney’s house, I can tell by the sunken look in poor Sid’s face.

Goals for following sessions include: building trust, holding a conversation, focusing on the positives in his life, maybe start to get into childhood living if possible.

Jasper again. That’s where the first session record ends off. I haven’t fully read through the second entry yet, but I think I’ll post that on here too. Very interesting stuff.
