The tale continues

On November 11 of 1985, Lolitamarie and myself were neighbors in Dallas. Our little group had really begun to make an effect in the Dallas area, it was a much safer place to live. Zoey had been living in England for about 3 years or so, working with some other vamps on her own. She was due to come home any day. Suddenly I get a phone call telling me I need to come pick her up at DFW airport. She had gotten an earlier flight and wanted to come home.

When I got home I had recieved a message on myspace from a man named Richard Earnist Smith.

He seemed very intelligient and charming so I responded. That was not like me to do at all. We emailed back and forth and within a couple of weeks I had given him my phone number and we had spoken on the phone for hours at a time. We decided that one the thirteenth of December I would fly over to meet him.

When I got there he was a rather attractive man, tall and thin but not drop dead gorgeous. Things seemed to go well. We spent all of out time together and less than a week after he asked me to marry him. I told him I had to think about it. I thought I might be in love with him.

On the thenty third of tha month, I was walking down a crowded street in London, when something caught my eye and walked over towards it. It was a man, gothic style, long black hair. If I had not been otherwise involved I might have concidered turning him but no, I had things to do. Then I saw his eyes, he had a level of pain and desperation in his eyes that tore me up inside.

I went to him and asked him what was wrong. He told me his name was Chris. He told me his mom had flown over to England after hooking up with someone online, that she had been emailing him for a month and flew over about two years earlier. He had not heard from her since a month after she touched down. I hugged him and saw his mom the way she was the last time he saw her. I told him to give me a phone number so that if I got anything I could call him. I left him at that and went on my merry way.

The next day I went to the rose garden that Richard had planted in the back yard of his home and began counting the bushes. There were 30 exactly. I thought how odd a number. I was pulled to them and driven to smell each one. As I touched the first one, I felt the world move and I saw a skeleton below the ground. I didn't know what to make of it so I smalled them all. When I got to the last, I dropped to the ground and saw the woman she had been before her death. I knew it was Chris's mom. I couldn't deal with that now. I needed to find out more.

On the twenty fifth, I planned out the perfect dinner, the table beautiful and candle lit. The food and the wine perfect. I set down with Richard when he was ready to dine and pretended not to hate him. I touched his hand and saw clearly what he had planned for me. I saw my rose bush. I let him eat and drink all the wine he wanted to while I just waited and when he was so drunk he could hardly sit up in the chair, I carried him to another room of the house and chained him to a wall. I used a whip on him, interrogating him until he had told me why he killed and who they were. Later I would give the names to the police for them to pass on the news to the family. It made my stomach sick.. that hadn't happened in while. It seems that he got a type of power from killing women who were in love with him. When I had heard enough, I used a compression wave spell on him to explode his body into a million pieces, cleaned up and called Chris.I told hm what had happened to his mother, not thinking of how he would take it. He began to talk irrationally. I told him to stay where he was I would be right there. He said he wanted revenge and I told him I had already taken care of all of that.

"Hon, stay there. We need to talk face to face. Your mother is dead but her love for you lives on. Don't do anything till I get there. "

"Yeah sure..." He trailed on and I knew I had to get there fast.

When I informed him about his mother, he wept bitterly and began to pace the floor. Suddenly aware that we were 13 stories up I watched him closely. He screamed at me, "How can she leave me for a murdering dick? How, Cadamia?"

"She didn't know Chris.. she didn't know."

"I can't do this anymore, I gotta go."

With that he ran at the balchony. I got there before him and held him still with no effort. He struggled until he was too tired to go on and then he collapsed in my arms and wept till he fell asleep. I carried him to the bed and went downstairs to make a call to buy airline tickets for the both of us.

While I was in the lobby, I ran into a man named Jerry who approached me and said to me, "Please tell Chris I am so sorry. I saw you with a young man and police officer told me who he was and what my step dad did to his mom. I am really sorry. " With that he dissappeared.

I convinced Chris that his mother would not be served nor would he by his death. I told him he shold come back with me and build a new life as one of my team. A few days later, we were in Dallas again, I went to our hunting grounds and found Lolitamarie and Zoey. They freaked when they saw me walking out of the fog toward them.

"We were told you were destroyed. " Zoey nearly tackled me as soon as she realized it was me.

"The jackass I went there for was planning it but not able to carry it out."

"Let me go kill him, " lolitamarie said.

"Already done."

When I turned to look at Chris, he was dumbfounded staring at Zoey.

"Zoey, this is Chris. Chris, my youngest daughter Zoey. Zoey watch over him and train him, Jackass killed his mom two years ago and I found her body."

"Ok mom but we have to talk later. You obviously haven't told me everything."

"Sure hon, when we are done."
