Cracked mirror, upon a tainted

Marble counter top,

A reflection with a single tear drop,

Warm water, within a tub

Steam drifting up into the cool air,

Dark red stains the water,

Drops of blood mix with the

Dirt on the title floor,

A silent sound of nothing

This simple sound

Floating around your body

Streaming in and out of your ears



And drilling itself into your mind

Disrupting long forgotten memories

Reminding you of the past



Closing your eyes

And seeing nothing yet something

Dance beneath your eyelids



The soothing sound of music

Drawing you in

Touching you



And sending shivers down your spine

Holding out your hands

Trying to feel what’s not there



Yet knowing it exists

This soft, warm sound

Vibrating through your body



Letting it flow through you

Feeling it swim through your veins

And become a part of you.
