I'm swimming in tears.

I just found your tshirt.

Memories flood me of that day.



It was hot,

inside and out.

You shined brighter then the stars.



Your laugh is still here,

my little silver bells.

We took a swim,

late at night.



Lying in the grass,

I heard those words.

My heart flew out of my chest.

Your smile blinded me,

it also lit my world.

My fears are like stars,

always there.

My tears are the river,

always flowing.

My heart,

the drum of my life,

is breaking like thin ice.



For one minute,

I forget my fears.

My tears leave me.

My heart mends.



That minute.

I see you.

I feel you.

I hear you.



But it only lasts a minute.

Then you disappear.

My thoughts travel to you,

and they will always stay with you.
