If you don't like the coven you are in, just simply ask the CM to trade you to the coven of your choice. It doesn't hurt to ask. :)

Also, they won't hold you forever if you're not doing anything. They're a new Coven. It'll be bad for them to keep an inactive member when they can trade you for favour.
