It has been a pretty good christmas..There was no crazy running around to all the relatives and having to pretend like my family tree is normal, and not insanely messed up.

It was quiet and relaxing. A few of the immediate family, with turkey and prime rib both were amazing...Though being vegetarian the meat kind of messed up my stumach. But Turkey is my vice..and I figured since I was already throwing away vegetarianism for a week why not go all out with the prime rib as well.



Also I have figured out what I'm finally going to take school wise. I have already started to fill out the application for ecotourism and outdoor leadership.

I just love hiking, canoeing, and all that crazy wilderness stuff. I think I'll really enjoy the program. I've always missed hiking since I stopped a few years back.



Now I just need to talk him into moving with me. He says he is willing to...Its just his family...They were easy enough to deal with when we lived three hours away from most of them...But to be in the same city....I don't know.

You'd think after four and a half years they would be used to me and I wouldn't be just nick's girlfriend but no...not at all.



Oh well it will all be worth it in the end.

I have actually had such an amazing month, I got all of my christmas presents hassle-free, I have paid off my debt and even paid my rent two weeks ahead of time. I got most of my christmas cards out on time...Three have yet to see a post box...but they did get their stamps today so plus.

My cinnamon buns tonight turned out yummy with uber goo and the whipping cream made them soo much better.

And I am so excited to be heading home tomorrow on the bus. I've always liked taking the grey hound. But since I wasn't able to spend the holidays with my family and friends last year I'm happy to do so this year. And last year made me realize how much the holidays are for being with family and those you love. Like I got my presents in the mail...But it wasn't at all the same.

So I think I'm finally growing..I am so happy to be where I am right now...and can't wait to keep moving.

I absolutely adore food like couscous which is a easy and fast made food that tastes delicious, and a much better alternative to other quick foods. Good morning breakfast yay!

When it is super cold outside, it feels so nice when you finally get inside and you sit in the sun. How nice it feels to have the warmth hitting your face, it always makes me feel like I should bloom a flower.

I have finally come to appreciate Instructions, usually anything that comes with instructions I throw away the instructions and cut right to the chase of figuring everything out by myself....But yesterday I had to open the safe at work cause we had run out of fives and what not. Now I didn't realize just how fantastically annoying opening a safe could be. I was given the combination and told there were instructions on how to open it on the board. So I sat for about five minutes trying to decode the instructions and failing. So I got on the floor and tried to open the safe...fifteen minutes later it still wasn't open. I'm pretty sure my supervisor was watching me on the cameras laughing and seeing how long it would take. But then after about twenty mintues and reading the instructions every two I was victorious!! It was a good day.

It was fantastic having another person to help me with dishes today.

Usually I don't really do my dishes..I've never really liked doing dishes, the only thing I liked was being able to look out the kitchen window while doing them...But my apartment doesn't have one of those...So I will do anything to not do my dishes.

My aunt and I have a deal with my boyfriend, when he comes over if he does our dishes we feed him lots of food. This usually works out and our dishes are done and we get to be lazy princesses. But this weekend he made my breakfast...which he decided was enough and didn't have to do dishes....So we were stuck with no cutlery, or plates...or glasses...

My aunt and I finally did them ourselves, her washing and me drying.



I used to not dislike washing dishes so much but since I've gotten really bad eczema it wasn't worth the two day after fingers bleed from being too dry cause of the dish soap, its just gone down hill.



I guess we just need to up Nicks food pay.
