A Chilling Dream: Chapter 9

By: Sean

Sean and Max just ignored the banging of the downstairs doors all night long, too lost in their love and comfort, plus the exhausting efforts of a couple days ago. Sean was still did not fully understand what had happened to him. Max had never said anything upon it, but then again he never ask. He just slept the rest of the night like any normal human being, but somewhere in his unconscious mind there was much more to his inner self than he or Max realized.

While Sean slept he did indeed dream upon what happened and something far more sinister than what he realized was out in the world, or beyond it. Sean dreamed of his love and where it would take them. He dreamed of death and destruction, of war and hopelessness. He was not sure what those dreams were, but it felt so real, like something to come. A future of sorts showing its ugly head.

Sean knew of future and what it foretold. He had always been able to see tidbits of future events and such while he was awake or, rarely, while he was awake. He always got them in flashes while awake and he forgot most while he was asleep. He knew though that he had dreams of the future, absolute future, because of his deja vu that he always got. A feeling of knowing that it was to be. That he had already seen it. It was a feeling that could just not be explainable in words. He was leery of some of his dreams because he did not know if they were horrid, like the one he was having now.

The worked seemed to turn itself head over heels. It was so full of death and destruction because of the mighty war ensuing below him. He was apart of that battle and he was proud of the fact. He could feel something wrong in the back of his mind because he was enjoying the killing of the innocent. He was having fun slitting the throat of a new born baby. A true nightmare becoming real. The world was covered in blood and tears and he was at the heart of it all. He was death and fury himself. So full of loathing and malice in the most pure of malcontents. It was a scary feeling. What a horror had he become? Nothing could redeem these actions.

Sean then heard a voice so full of pure evil it was chilling even his evil deeds. It was a deep, power ensuing voice that made your very soul quake with pleasure and pain at its passing, a soul long lost. Very good my pet you are doing very well, said the voice. The evil voice then began to chuckle then laugh hysterically, but with utter glory and joy and intelligence. It knew exactly what it was doing even or the hysteria involved. It was malicious and so full of joy in that knowledge it was that laugh that could never be forgotten. It was so full of evil incarnate. It sent chills of love? through Sean. It was truly a horrific dream.

Sean jolted awake, drenched in cold sweat. Sean was not sure how to respond to that dream at all. He sure as hell wasn't sure what to make of it. And that voice, he thought, shakily, I know that voice. I know that laugh. He couldn't place the laugh. He was so wrapped up in his dream that he did not realize that it was morning and Max was gone already. He must be downstairs, thought Sean.

Sean got out of bed shaking. He gained control of himself and made sure he did not look as blank and depressed as he felt at the time and made his way downstairs. He walked downstairs seeing no one around, as usual, and began to feel a foreboding unlike anything he had felt before. Something was wrong with this picture.

He saw no one in the kitchen at all and so he began to look around the house some more. Looking in the bathroom, bedrooms, and utility room. He could not find anyone around the house. He could still hear the machinery doing something outside. Those strange, disconcerting men working on whatever they were working on. Sean began to feel as if someone walked on his grave as he made his way to the window. He looked outside of the side window, facing the garage, in the living room. He gazed in shock as he saw something move quickly, with a tail, behind the trees. Sean felt peace seeing that thing moving behind the trees, but he was not sure what to do about it at all. It was the size of a small child and almost looked like it too, but with a tail. A tail? That is not possible, he thought. The last time I checked there was no child born with a tail. What was even more strange was that he knew this "child" and it also looked as if it was made from bark.

Sean tried to see it again. Tried to use his vision to pierce the dense pine trees to see it again. It was no child, but he was not afraid of it and new it like no normal person would. He moved away from the window having no luck in seeing it again, no matter how hard he tried to. Sean turned and focused on his task of trying to find Max or any of his friends and family. There was no one in sight. They must be in the garage again, thought Sean.

Sean went outside to the garage only to find nothing out of the ordinary and no one still in sight. He moved to the garage window to gaze out of its glass for no reason only to find the "child" again, dashing behind a tree. Sean's curiosity finally got the better of him. So he made his way outside. He walked to the back of the garage to open the door where the tractor goes to the outside and he walked through.

He felt that he knew this "child" that was hiding about and since he felt that way he knew it was safe to investigate. He moved to the right and out towards the pine trees to the left of the garage. He crepted slowly toward the pine trees, knowing that he was being watch by the "child" and the men working in the corner of their property. They still seemed to be drilling like Max had said they would be doing, but he wasn't sure why and neither did Sean. But Sean was crippled with foreboding about those men and when they finish digging what they were digging.

Sean could see the equipment easily enough and it seemed they had dug out a huge hole in the middle of the road. While Sean kept looking he felt a chill yet again when one of the men smiled at him. He felt that they were not men at all at that moment, but the man smiled very nicely to him so his foreboding was pushed to the back of his mind. He still was not going to go anywhere near those men. Sean turned his head back and resumed his trek to the pine trees to see about his new found friend.

As Sean neared the trees he could hear rustling in the branches, but as he pinpointed their whereabouts the movement changed again. Sean moved behind the trees and saw something that he would never forget. A living, breathing, two-legged tree. Sean stopped dead in his tracks, but the creature must have heard him and so it turned its head.

The creature was about four feet eleven inches in height, not including the tail. Its body moved with pure grace and certainty of its movements. It had ridges all along its back, getting smaller and smaller as they went to the very tip of his tail. It looked as if it was a lizard walking on two-legs, but it looked as if it were a tree.

Sean could smell its sent from where he stood and loved every whiff of it as it past under his nose. The smell was like jasmine coupled with the smell of different trees from pine, to spruce. to apple. It was truly a beautiful sent. The creature never ran like Sean was expecting it to do, but just stared at him the same way as Sean did it. Don't I know you? That was the question both were asking themselves.

Sean stared as the creature just stared back at him. It was tense, but unmoving. Sean sensed that it was just as curious as he was about it. He could see into the creatures eyes and know it was deciding whether to run away or get closer. So Sean just made the first move and moved toward the creature.

"Hello. What are you," asked Sean gently, so as not to scare it away. It cocked its head at Sean in utter curiosity and amazement that Sean even had talked to it. Sean extended his hand and bent down onto his knees to show that he was no harm to it. It cocked its head the other direction in perplexity at the gesture. Sean could tell that it was still wary of him as he was of it.

Sean smiled gently as he said, "Don't worry I'm not going to hurt you my friend."

And with all of that said, Sean saw a change in the creature. It moved slightly closer and now stared straight at Sean and into his eyes and, what seemed to Sean, his very soul. It was a weird sensation, but Sean seemed to know it well indeed. It was love and admiration. The kind that he had for his love, Max.

The creature slowly moved forward. It was still jittery, just like Sean was, but its misgivings seemed to be gone. It kept moving forward until it was almost close enough for Sean to reach out and touch it. Sean thought better of it though, still not sure where these emotions came from and why he trusted this creature like he trusted Max.

The creature cocked its head again and began to tentatively move its hand out to touch Sean's. Sean was not going to do anything and let the creature make the first move instead so as not to scare it away.

The creature finally reached out completely and touched Sean's hand and drew it back quickly like his hand had bit it. It then laughed ever so lightly. Sean just smiled kindly knowing now that it was playing with his hand now. It touched Sean quickly then drawing its arm back for just a little while longer until it grasped Sean's hand. Its hand felt, surprisingly, soft for a creature made out of a tree and looked like a lizard. It was a soft and gentle touch and it sent shivers of pleasure throughout Sean's body. Sean kept smiling some more, until it, shockingly, began to speak.

I am a Tree Hider and I am your Guardian Spirit, it said to Sean's thoughts. Sean blinked in surprise at its grainy voice inside his head, so full of love. It continued to speak to his thoughts, I am here to help you find the true way and truth of the path that you must follow, not the misleading path. I am here to help you now find your love, Max.

Hearing Max's name spoke with urgency, he began to feel scared. Where was his Max? Sean snapped out of his revere and kept a hold on his Guardian's hand.

"W-What has happened to Max," Sean asked slowly and shakily.

It moved a little closer, like it had a secret only he was allowed to hear, I can not tell you yet. Sean felt scared, then felt a shiver run up his spin to the back of his head, almost as if it was saying, "Run, run very fast." Sean looked back up to his Guardian. It looked back with loving, loyalty. Sean felt like laughing and jumping up and down with joy right then and there as he felt those emotions envelope him and surround him in safety.

I must go for now and so should you, it said as it let go and ran back towards the trees. It seemed as if it was about to crash head long into the tree so Sean began to warn it, but just before it did, it just vanished into thin air. The air rippled and his Guardian was gone. He was not sure what to make of that at all. He did not know where to begin. He began to walk to where that seeming kind of portal, now that he thought of it, it did indeed seemed to be a portal, as his hair stood on the back of his neck.

Sean, finally, realized that the drilling noise had stopped and it had stopped for some time at that. He was so distracted that he had not noticed the quiet, discerting quiet at that. Sean stopped and looked around. He saw nothing coming up behind him or anything, but after seeing the manner in which his Guardian left, he was not so sure about that. He then began to walk quickly back towards the garage. As he approached the garage he felt like someone was following him. He turned to look over his shoulder and, sure enough, he was indeed being followed.

It was one of the men workers moving quickly towards him. He was skinning, but had muscles showing through his white shirt. Sean was almost not quick enough as the man almost over took him. Sean ducked out of the way, but kept on his feet and ran towards the playground in the backyard. The man stumbled and fell, roiling over and over because of the momentum of his speed to catch Sean.

Sean ran as fast as he possibly could and kept looking over his shoulder. That was a mistake. Sean looked forward just in time as a man with a butcher knife charged at Sean. Sean stared opened mouth, but allowed his instincts to take over. Sean ducked towards the ground and planted his back into the ground and moved his feet into position in a single moment. He crashed his feet into the man with the knife sending him sprawling over his body and hitting the ground just above his head. Sean rolled clear as the insanely fast man rolled and drove the knife into the ground where Sean's head once was.

Sean madly dashed towards the playground for some reason, using his fear to power his adrenaline. He made it just in time as the muscled man made it to his comrade. They circled the playground with caution. It seemed as if they were not allowed to come any closer. The men smiled evilly and just walked away from the playground, like nothing had happened. It seemed to Sean that they also could not speak or just did not want to. It was very strange. Sean just counted his blessings as they walked away. Sean huddled on the playground, knees against his chin, praying that he and Max would be safe.

A tear ran down Sean's cheek as he stared after the scary men, fear gripping him now. He was terrified. He wanted Max by his side, but he did not know where he went. He did not even know where his friends and family had gotten to either. Sean just stayed there, huddled against the safe haven of the playground, too scared to move now that the men seemed to be gone. He finally felt he could look around and see if there was anyone or anything in sight, now wishing Tree Hider was with him too.

Sean tentatively got up from his huddling position and began to get down. He felt that he had to get to the house as fast as possible, and, so far, his instincts were being a miraculous help. He slowly moved to the tree close by and touched it to steady himself real quick for a run for his life it seemed. He began to move when he heard a roar of triumph as the larger man with the knife came running at him from out of nowhere. Sean never saw him coming. Sean seemed to be lucky as he dived out of the way and sprinted towards the house. He could hear the man roar behind him and hear the tree splintering with the force of the man pulling his knife out of the tree.

Sean thought that had bought him some time, but he was mistaken. The other man with the muscles that had first came after him, was running towards him, also with a knife of his own. Sean screamed as he dived out of the way yet again, feeling the knife whiz over his head. Sean ran like he never before could as the muscle man came after him, knife whizzing through the air after him.

The larger man was nowhere in sight anymore as Sean double backed to the playground. Sean then got very angry and terrified at the same time. Because he began to wonder if these bastards had hurt his Max in anyway shape or form and if they did he would kill them. Sean saw a large stick in the yard and ran towards it to, possibly, fight the muscle man off. Sean bent and picked up the stick as the muscle man kicked him on the side and knocked the wind out of him. Sean almost lost consciousness with that powerful hit to his side, but he managed to stay awake.

The muscle man bent down over him pressing the knife to Sean's neck. He smiled evilly as he drew a little blood from the almost coherent Sean. Sean fought to stay awake and it worked. He kicked out as hard as he could against the muscle man's loins. The man doubled over in pain and growled as he thrusted the knife out to gut Sean as quick as he could. Sean proved to be the stranger this time and moved his torso out of the way and grabbed hold of the man's arm with the knife as it was driven into the ground. Sean took the arm and twisted it as best as he could then quickly kicked him in the face making his nose bleed. The man grabbed for his face and as he let go of the knife Sean pulled it out of the ground and shoved it into the man's gut over and over again. Sean was driven by fear, desperation, and anger with each thrust. Sean shook out of his murderous trance and quickly dropped the knife and staggered toward the house yet again.

Sean walked fast this time because he was still in so much shock. He did not get to the above ground pool when he heard that scream again. This time the larger man came at Sean in a fury over the death of his evil partner. Sean barely made it out of the way of the swiping knife. Sean moved left and soon did the knife. Sean ran in a circle heading for the playground yet again, but the man followed closely. Sean had to circle around again and this time Sean got by, almost getting hit by the furiously swinging knife.

The man followed Sean very closely. He moved the knife left, Sean went right barely missing each time the knife was swinging. The man was getting faster and faster. Sean made it past the pool and closer towards the house as the knife man kept coming and coming. Sean, out of the corner of his eye, saw his Aunt Julie running out of the house and towards Sean rather quickly. She moved with a speed unlike anything, even the evil man was surprised at her speed. She was by the man's side in a heart beat. The man had grabbed Sean finally with one arm and had murderous intent in his eyes.

"Die you little shit," he said with pure loathing.

He drew the knife back and was about to strike when Sean's Aunt finally showed up to give him a piece of her mind. She took the man's arm and swung him around making him let go of Sean and she then grabbed the knife and sliced upwards, taking the man's arm in that one slice. The man was so shocked that he did not get a chance to scream as Sean's aunt drove the rest of the knife into his gut, killing him before he hit the ground.

"No one messes with my family," she said as she spit on the man as he hit the ground.

Sean just stared at her in wonder and admiration for coming to her rescue as she had and then let the darkness take him again.

A Chilling Dream: Chapter 8

By: Sean

Max stared down at Sean yet again, making sure he was still breathing fine and was not in any pain. The events from last night was truly interesting at that. Max had on idea how to make of it at all. He just looked over and saw Sean with the most beautiful white wings. It seemed as if they were Angel wings, but it could not be possible because Sean would know if he was an he would have told him. Max didn't think that Sean even knew he had grown the wings.

The wings, of course, were quit gone indeed, nowhere to be seen. There was no scaring or anything on Sean's back. Max had made sure of that. His love was something truly beautiful and deadly. Was that his powers I felt when we went outside, he questioned himself, because I felt it come from inside myself. Could I have been mistaken?

Max was truly perplexed. He had no idea what to do for his love. He wanted to make sure he was safe and not scared at all, but he wasn't sure how to do that. Sean was unconscious and had been for quit some time now and it was beginning to worry him. Sean's family had come in while they heard the battle rage and when the door broke apart. They had finally been able to rush in as Max pulled Sean away from the broken door. They had been in shock and wonder at the destruction. Fortunately they all had not seen Sean's display and beautiful white wings. Max wanted to keep that a secret just in case.

His family and friends had been worried enough and shaken to the core as to what had happened, but they just made sure Sean was in bed and doing alright and that was it. They mostly went in and out of the back door to the garage. They were doing something and it killed that he did not know what was going on, but Sean was his priority. He also began to wonder what all this would mean. What it all did mean? Was Sean a fallen angel? Or was Sean something completely different altogether? And what was he? He knew something was not right about himself either, but he could not put his finger on it at all. It was starting to scare him.

Max stayed by Sean's side all night waiting and worrying. He wanted Sean to wake up and tell him what was all going on inside and outside the house. For some strange reasons there were men outside of the house, just beyond the property. The men looked like workers, but Max felt that they were not right, not right at all. They scared him the most. They seemed to be human, but something told him off the bat that they were quit the opposite.

It did not help that Sean's family was shocked and doing whatever it was outside at all hours of the day and night. It was annoying, but Max dare not leave Sean's side. He feared those men outside just as much as Sean's friends and family. He did not want to leave him alone and exposed. It seemed to him that Sean only needed this sleep. As if Sean was drained physically somehow. He began to get dark thoughts then. What if he is not okay? What if something internal was wrong with him? What if he was not physically, but spiritually hurt? Something unknown to humanity? What if his love never woke up?

Max shook his head to clear those dark, despairing thoughts and began to think positive. That Sean was okay and would wake any minute, but those minutes turned to hours then a day past and he never awoke. Max then got worried. Sean had been sleeping for two days straight and there was no end in sight.

Max just sighed and began to get tired again. He began to remember that he had not slept in two days either. He was tired, really tired. As Max began to nod off, he heard a loud noise outside as if the ground was screeching. He jerked awake and rushed to the window. He gazed out and saw that the "men" were beginning to drill into the road for some reason. He stared as they worked with inhuman strength and dexterity as they moved the machinery into position and began to dig in different sections. Max wasn't sure what they were up to, but it was clear that they were wanting to enter this house. He definitely was not sure why they could not just overrun the property.

As he stared out the window he felt a moaning in the bed to his right. He stopped and then rushed over to the edge of the bed to see to his love.

"Are you alright my love," asked Max anxiously.

Sean jerked up and looked around the room with wide open eyes. Max was not sure that he was focused. It was as if Sean was seeing something else entirely. Sean looked towards Max with fearful eyes, terrified eyes at that. With that look Max's heart lurched. It felt as if his heart would break there and then. Sean did not recognized anything.

He was not sure what to make of this realization at all. Sean seemed to scared to cry out, but he was indeed awake. Sean's eyes never focused, but they were seeing what seemed to be something horrific indeed. It was heart wrenching to even look upon let alone bear. Max was torn he had no idea what to do. He couldn't very well take him to a hospital. If there was one, he thought ironically. Because if Max took Sean anywhere he would be hindered all the time, from Sean's family and friends to the "men" outside. Max was disturbed now. He had to do something and he had to do it fast because Sean seemed to be slipping away again, back into the darkness.

Max then thought of something, but was not sure it would work at all. He also wasn't sure what Sean's reaction would be to it. If it would snap him out of the trance or make him slip further, or make him become ever more scared. Max just knew he had to try something and quick.

Max raised his hand and slapped Sean across the face as hard as he could. Sean went reeling back into the cushions and his eyes seemed to then focus. His pupils dilating. Max watched as Sean snapped out of whatever it was that he was in.

Sean screamed and snapped awake ready for anything. Max grabbed Sean's shoulder and began to fear that he may just have made it worse for him. But Sean kept screaming and then he gasped and looked straight at Max focused and full of fear, but fear that Max was hurt.

Max smiled at Sean as Sean rushed into Max's arms and began to cry hysterically. Sean made giant sobbing gasps and moan here or there, but Max held firm to him. Max held him tight and full of loving gentleness.

"It's okay now my love, it's okay now," he whispered tenderly," it'll be okay. I'm fine." Knowing that was mostly why Sean was crying as he was. Sean was filled with relief that Max was okay and not hurt, or worse dead.

Sean just kept crying and crying until he began to gag and gasp for air. Max just held him at length and tried to help him breath.

"It's okay now. Just breath. Just breath." Max drew him back into his loving arms and held him until he finally quieted down.

"It's okay now we are both safe," whispered Max again. Sean was just able to nod his head against Max's strong chest. Sean just stayed there quiet and feeling safe in his arms as Max was in his. Sean snuggled closer to him and kissed his chest then lifted his head to kiss him on his soft lips.

"I love you," whispered Sean, close to Max's mouth.

"I love you too," replied Max, kissing Sean back.

They moved to get back into the bed. Max more tired than he ever felt and Sean somewhat refreshed, but still a little tired. Max yawned as he nestled into Sean's chest. And as Max laid his head down on Sean's chest, he was fast asleep before he hit. Sean just smiled to himself. He was blessed to have someone to love as beautiful and wonderful as his Max. I love him more than anything, he thought before he too fell asleep to the banging door downstairs.

A Chilling Dream: Chapter 7

04:55 Dec 14 2006

By: Sean

Sean was the first to awake. He looked over to see his love sleeping ever so lovely. He is the most beautiful person ever! I am the most luckiest person alive to have such a treasure. And he sure is my one and only treasure at that!

Sean lifted his free hand and caressed Max's soft cheek and moved the curly blond hair out of his eyes. He never stirred. Sean smiled lovingly at him and snuggled closer to him to kiss him on his curly blond head. Sean nestled into Max's hair to smell his sweet sent, while caressing his arm lovingly. Max moved closer into Sean's gentle arms and sighed ever so lightly in his sleep.

Sean just held Max all the tighter and began to look around his room. It was night out that was obvious, but it seemed, now, darker than it used to be at night time. It was very uncanny. Sean began to look around the room then, feeling something watching them in bed. He was not sure what it was or what it could be, but something was indeed in the room.

He leaned closer into Max and stared around the room trying to focus his eye sight to the unending darkness. It was getting thicker? That's not possible, thought Sean, scared, suddenly, for Max. This cannot be. Something is indeed in this room and it is truly evil, but how did it get into my room, he thought. By Ancient Law it was not allowed unless someone allowed it to enter the house then it was to be able to roam free throughout doing no end of mischief.

His eye sight focused very slowly indeed and as his eyes focused the darkness increased. It's like it knows I'm trying to see it, he continued to think, maybe if I stop trying then the darkness will recede. Sean concentrated on not worrying about what was in his room, intruding on him and his love's sleep. Nothing could make him anymore angrier, but he was very successful in his plan because the darkness did begin to recede.

It worked, he thought in shock, but I don't think I did it right. I concentrated on making the darkness recede not ignoring it, he thought curiously. Very strange indeed.

Sean fast approached pissed off. He did not know what was going on and something was intruding on his lover's sleep. That is just not allowed. His anger seemed to stir what was in the room.

The dark mass moved towards Sean and Max at a fast speed, full of malice and loathing, pure loathing. It had unimaginable fury attached to it's being. It was just a mass of pure darkness, but it had a solidity about it that was terrifying.

Sean jerked Max awake from his alarmed scream. He jumped up out of the covers and moved his body onto Max to protect him from the onslaught of the demonic darkness. Sean heard Max make a muffled sound into his chest in complete alarm. He even heard him ask what was going on, but Sean never had time to say anything to him.

Sean just protected Ma with such venom and fury that it even scared Max a little for the darkness rushed overhead and struck Sean in the head sending him spiraling sideways into his door. Upon hearing the door crack, Max wondered if Sean was still alive at all from the force of the impact, but he had only seconds to think about his lover's life. The darkness loomed over Max and seemed to burst into an ethereal flame, a dark flame. It seemed to solidify very fast as it descended upon Max. It had a head and shoulders, but its body was complete, insubstantial darkness.

The demonic darkness thought it had killed Sean and now will get to kill Max, but it never thought what was to happen would happen. No one did actually.

Sean staggered awake knowing that his Max was in trouble and knew he had to do something fast, very fast at that. It seemed like time was frozen as he rose up from the floor and the broken door. he could hear the rousing of everyone in the house, but he could care less. Max was in trouble.

Sean got angry, very angry upon seeing that the thing was about to kill his sweet heart. Sean felt that same energy well up inside him again, like it had in the garage. I wonder if this was the same darkness that had attacked us earlier, he thought quickly.

The power wreathed inside him, churning with power, moving all around inside him. Building fast. He felt it move into his stomach, rushing towards his loins and straight to his mind. It was like another set of vertebrae all on its own. He felt the air around him begin to mold to his line of thinking and all was in a matter of seconds. He felt the air circulate faster and faster around him and could even feel it break and bend and move with his mind. It would have been frightening if he was not concentrating so hard on killing whatever that darkness was and what it was about to do.

Sean molded the air around him. Then he thought of light, glorious light. That should kill something that is made of darkness, he thought. The air then began to glow a swirl with that fast thought. What happened next was too fast for anyone to handle. That swirling light burst from inside Sean and threw itself at the darkness that was now lunging at a terrified Max. All that happened in several seconds. All of it was molded so fast that Sean wasn't sure he had thought about anything, but it took care of the job.

The swirling ball of light smashed into the demonic darkness and congealed around it to begin to seemingly swallow it. The darkness imploded upon itself as the light engulfed it. Max looked up and saw that there was no trace of the darkness. He then look over towards Sean in total shock.

Sean had grown wings and now they were disappearing back to wherever they had come from. He's beautiful, thought Max, truly beautiful. I didn't know how beautiful until now. As Sean began to pass out, he saw Max rush from the bed and take him into his arms in complete shock still.

"I love you," whispered Sean just before a different kind of darkness took him.

A Chilling Dream: Chapter 6

By: Sean

It was late when Max and Sean began to make their way back downstairs, after a good time of cuddling and sleeping most of the day away. Sean rounded the corner with Max behind him, holding his hands. He did not want to let him go if this plan did not work. I don't think I could bear loosing him if anything happened and it was my fault, thought Sean.

Sean squeezed Max's hands quickly and Max squeezed back, as they came downstairs fully. No one was there at all in the living room. So Sean and Max made their way into the kitchen, then off to Sean's parents room by the front door. Nothing. No one. No one was in the house.

"Where is everyone," muttered Sean.

"I have no idea," Max quietly answered, both perplexed as to where they all could have gotten off to.

They made there way back into the kitchen to see if they could see if any of them was outside at all. In the garage maybe, asked Sean quietly. Nope no one was outside that they could see.

"Let's go outside and into the garage to see if they have left or something," suggested Max.

"Good idea," replied Sean.

So their steps took them outside and into the garage to see what was afoot, nothing, yet again. All the cars that were moved into the garage were all there and to be counted for, including Sean's aunts' van.

"Wait somethings not right here," said Sean.

"MM what do you mean, sweetie," asked Max.

"Well for starters when did they move the cars into the garage. The last I knew it was empty and the cars were outside in the driveway," said Sean, "This makes no sense what so ever, and besides, how were they able to get my aunt's van in here in the first place! The last time I checked too it could never fit in here unless you took away that room my father was working on for several years and never finished. And, it looks to me, that he has never moved that room. It is still there! See?"

And, yes, Max did see that all the vehicles were truly in this small garage and that room took up most of the space necessary to allow such a multitude into the garage. So how did they get this all in here, indeed, he thought, something is not right, Sean is completely right.

As they tried to figure this out their minds seemed to be playing major tricks on them at the moment. Nothing and nothing can fit three vehicles into this garage, let alone two sometimes. Something was not right and as they stared even more their vision became distorted as they kept it up. Max felt as if he was falling through some kind of darkness that had no end in sight. No light and no ending in sight, bad combination. It was making him want to lay down and sleep, when he just awoke not too long ago at that.

The darkness ensued into the room to engulf the lovers. It wanted them to become apart of its never ending night and its never ending evil. It wanted everything to suffer, it wanted everything and everyone to die in total torture and pain, but first it needed for them to do things for it to those very goals, or so that was what they heard in their minds.

That fatiguing darkness was in their minds, it was swallowing them into its vat of infinity. They were not sure what was going on, but Sean would have none of it what so ever, and neither did Max.

The lovers felt a surge welling up inside them in a full blossoming tsunami. Turbulent in its complexities. It was like a sudden surge of adrenaline. And later that was what it would feel like. Max felt the power inside uncoiling like a snake, just like Sean. Both lovers cartwheeled as that power took over for a fraction of a second. It was something so unfamiliar that it could only be apart of them itself. It was a sad feeling when it left.

That surge of power knocked them onto their backs without them realizing it at all. It took away that horrid feeling of total darkness and cruel thoughts of malice and wrath. It took away the fatigue and the dreaded feeling. And it also gave them back their true sight too. They seemed to have awakened inside, laid dormant almost, but they still had no memory or knew what was happening. As the feeling past they began to feel themselves again.

Max looked over to see if Sean was okay and he seemed to be for he stirred into wakefulness. Sean looked over to Max and gave him a silent question, but Max just shrugged. They slid closer to each other and helped themselves up to look around a figure out what had just happened. As they looked they could see the garage as it had been left in the first place, no vehicles, none what so ever. It was almost as if they were never and had never been there at all. This week is getting weirder and weirder, thought Sean.

"We must find out what is happening now because I have no clue what that was or what just happened. We must find out soon too, sweet heart," said Sean.

"My thoughts exactly," replied Max, still looking around with a perplexed look on his face.

Still perplexed they just drew their eyes from looking around the garage and moved to open the door as it opened abruptly, almost knocking Sean back over. Max grabbed onto him as he almost fell and both just stared at the yelling mother at the door.

"What are you two doing out here! Are you crazy! Get inside now, now," screeched Sean's mother.

"This is no place to be at night, no place. Neither of you should be outside either, get in!"

She herded them back towards the back door, past the gate, where the rest of Sean's friends and family were just coming through, in just as much hurry as the rest of them it seemed. They all piled inside the house's back door and into the kitchen at high speeds. Sean and Max had no clue where everyone came from let alone what was happening.

As they all were accounted for, everyone went back to doing what they were doing in the first place it seemed. As thought nothing had just happened. It was curious how they all avoided us, thought Max.

"Where were all of you? We couldn't find anyone in the house. Where did you all go," asked Sean.

"Oh we had to go out and see about getting some supplies," came the brushed off reply from Sean's father.

"Okay," said Sean.

Sean began to walk away, coolly at that. It seemed to perplex everyone in that room, but it came briefly. Max followed Sean back to his room so they could ponder over what had occurred in just several minutes. Yes several minutes, five minutes to be exact, thought Max.

Sean seemed to notice the time too because he stopped at his red numbered clock with the broken alarm. Sean just shook his head, sat down and placed his fist below his chin. Max sat down beside him and proceeded to engulf Sean into his arms, like Sean would do for him if he was shaken or hurt.

"This plan better work or we are at a lose wouldn't you say," said Sean.

"I know," replied Max," but did you see their faces when you just nonchalantly excepted what they said?"

Sean just shook his head not wanting to talk about it anymore. He just shook his head and turned into Max and just kissed his chest, suddenly feeling very drained. Sean moved away got up and took off his shoes, socks, shirt, and pants. Max followed suit and both laid down in each others arms in the bed. They were soon fast asleep.

A Chilling Dream: Chapter 5

By: Sean

Max and Sean began to walk inside. As they walked Sean took hold of Max's hand and made Max smile lopsidedly. Both got with in several feet of the fenced in area when they heard something on the air, a kind of whining sound, something twirling in the sky. At one point it sounded like a helocoptor, but it had a distinced sound to it, a high kind of whistling sound; a deep growl so low you could not hear it otherwise.

Sean stopped dead in his tracks upon hearing that...familiar sound? He was not sure how, but it indeed seemed familiar. It caused no fear. It caused something inside the pit of his stomach to tense up with admirable love? It was a very strange sensation at that.

Sean looked to Max to see if Max had heard it too when he stopped and it seemed he did because of the familiar look himself on his face.

"What is that sound it seems familiar doesn't it," asked Max, looking to Sean.

Sean nodded and said, "Yes, yes it does indeed sound familiar and it's getting louder. We better get inside quick anyway."

Max agreed to that and both raced for the house. They passed through the opened gate and straight onto the porch, but before both got to open the door the sound began to be a loud raor of terrible quality, jarring in its intense...hatred? It was a spiteful cry at that. Sean and Max could hear it over heard, but the sky was still clouding up and you could not hear much at all. Sean and Max kept trying to look at the clouds to see what could be up there, but still could not see anything, especially with fog rolling in.

While they looked to the sky Sean's mother came racing out of the house almost hitting Max with the door and bowling over both of them in the process of her haste.

"Get inside," she screamed as she looked to the skys in utter terror. She whirled around literally dragging both back into the house as another roar issued forth from the very skys.

So bewildered was Sean and Max that they could not speak thus upon entering the house. Something was wrong and it was time Sean got to the bottom of it and demanded answers to these pressing questions. Sean and Max were dragged back into the strange house. The house was back to normal this time with its two large green couches. One by the picture window that was not normal size, the length of the couch, and the other in the middle of hte room touching the corner of the other couch. Everything was back into its normal space.

Sean could hear laughter upstairs like they could not hear the thing over head screeching in a very strange, yet familiar, voice, one that was truly spiteful in its existence. Now was the time. Sean was getting very, truly angry with everything and everyone at the moment and his fury and rage needed an outlet now.

He jerked his arm out of his mothers hand and stared her down in all his righteous fury and indignations. He did not care who watched and got his wrath full on either.

He stared at his mother, her seeming not to notice when she was only ignoring, ignited his anger even more.

"What the Hell is going on! I demand answers and I want them now," he ranted in a high screeching kind of voice. He could feel Max right beside him backing him. Max was also upset, he was tired of not knowing either and he would back his love up at whatever costs, especially his life, just like his Sean would.

Sean's mother just sighed at his anger infusing it with new clarity. "Sean," she began, "it has nothing to do with you it is safer that you do not know. Just trust me I'm just trying to protect you."

Sean just shook his head and said very slowly and with utter venom, "You will answer me because I think that it does I am not stupid, mother."

She just sighed and shook her head, but before she could open up her mouth Sean screamed, "You listen to me! You will answer me and you will answer me now! I do not wish to be in the dark when it consernse me and my Max! Do you hear me woman!"

And with that outburst everyone seemed to come out of the wood work to see what all the fuss was about and just watched the confrontation. Sean's father entered the room from the bedroom and moved over to have his say.

"Sean this is for your own good. We are just all trying to protect you from dangers."

"No! Your just keeping me in a prison," he screeched loudly. He stared down both parents and stomped upstairs to his room, Max in tow. Max just followed Sean knowing it was futal to have his own say yet, so he just kept his mouth shut and followed Sean to his room. They entered the room and Sean just vented even more, ranting and raving about it all being unfair to him and Max.

Max was not sure what to say he knew Sean would be unresoanable in this state and he did not want to agitate the situation, so he kept silent. Sean paced back and forth in front of his bed, daring not to speak anymore. He got up, paced, and sat back down, all the while Max watching patiently. Max was fuming himself at the indignating of not having questions answered. Well then, he thought, me and Sean will have to find our own answers then.

Max took Sean's hand and sat him back down holding him in his arms, tightly, making sure he stops his venting and gives him his plan. Max knew they needed these answers and, for some reason, they needed them soon or something terrible would happen or could happen. Max was not sure how these feelings cropped up, but they sure did and he was going to follow them, like his love did. His love did find Sean for him; so it must not have steared him wrong yet!

Sean quieted in Max's arms, but still mumbled to himself about the indignity. So naive and innocent. I love him so very much, thought Max breifly to himself.

"My sweet, I have an idea," said Max quietly.

Sean stopped dead and looked into Max's eyes. Sean was full of anger and hate that it almost stopped Max's heart wanting to take away all that dreadful pain that was inside his heart. He could not breath through his own pain to take away his love's pain too. We can take away each others pain, he thought, we can fix each other.

Max could tell that Sean was waiting for him to continue into his thought process for his plan to take affect. They needed to be ready for anything to happen too and they might just well be.
