A Secret Dream: Chapter two

Stephanie walked to the pillar that Sarah Redhunt and her brother, Ryan, were hiding behind to keep from London's society eyes. She started to come closer, seeing her brother nipping at Sarah's neck, hearing Sarah giggle and moan in one. She cleared her throat and watched them break apart quickly. She gave Sarah a hard cold stare that sent shivers up her spine, making her scramble away from Ryan, going into the crowd.

Ryan laughed. "Oh dear little sister, can't you leave me and my affairs alone?" he asked with amusement in his voice.

She elbowed him in the side and watched him as he groaned in pain and held his side. "This isn't funny, dear brother. You must take respondability for your actions and become more serious now that you are Duke of Wales," she said as she made sure that no one could hear them. "I am tired of hearing about your scandals, dear brother. It's time you settle down at once and stop sleeping with every woman in London or you'll be uninvited to everything even your gentlemen's club."

He stared at her in shock. "You can't be serious," he said. "They would never do that."

"Oh I assure you, they would unless you change you're ways. You are eight and twenty. It's about time you settle down. You can't continue like this," she said with concern. "Look at what happen to father when he turned to womanizing. It ruined our parent's relationship and they split apart." She knew that the king has disapproved of her brother's scandal and has threaten to throw him out of court.

He nodded and laughed. "Give me a few more years before I stop my scandals. I've enjoying my life, going to widow's bed at night then the gentlemen's club. Of course, in the morning, going to court and talking to the king," he said with a smile. "I've got all I need, little sister."

She shook her head as she said, "The king doesn't approve of your life style as well. He has threaten to me that if you don't change, you will be kicked out of court as well." She watched as her brother's laughter faded and sadness filled his face.

"No, The king can't do this."

"I assure you that King James can do as he pleases. And you have a month to change your ways and claim a bride or you aren't welcomed to court. Understand?" she said as she approved of King Jame's decision.

"Alright, but who the hell would have me as a husband," he said as he ran his fingers through his black hair in furistration.

"I can help you will that but you must change first and prove to London that you have. Or she will not have you at all," she said as she put her arm around her brother's shoulder.

"Who is this woman, Steph," he said as he looked around the ballroom, glad to see that the society were all involved in conversation and wasn't focused on him. It was a relief for once to not be stared at with cold gazes.

"Cathrine McCain," she said. She watched as her brother groaned in sickness. She elbowed him in his side again as she watched him hold his side once more. "She is very beautiful in many ways and all you need to notice a woman is her breasts. If you got to know her then you would see her in a different light and find her more beautiful then the sun and the moon." She saw her husband across the ballroom, mouthing to her that Cathrine was alone outside in the garden with a sadness on her face. She smiled and motioned for Ryan toward the garden doors.

He stared at her and said, "Why are you pushing me, Steph?" Not sure as to why he was going towards the garden doors.

"Go into the gardens and find Cathrine then start to get to know her, Ryan. I doubt you'll hit it off with her but it's a try," she said as she started to walk toward her husband but saw Ryan walking toward the exit. She mouthed to her husband a one moment then turned and pushed her brother toward the garden doors. "GO," she said angrily. "This is your reputation we're talking about. Now go."

"Alright, stop pushing," he said as he left out the garden doors, descending the steps. He followed the path and saw Cathrine sitting in the darkness of the garden, smelling the rose in her hand. "Why are you out here and not in your ballroom?"

She gasped and her finger slipped over a thorn, pricking her finger as she cried, "Ouch." Ryan came to her side and took her finger, seeing if it started to bleed.

"Do forgive me, I didn't mean to startle you," he said as he moved his finger over hers to see if he felt any wetness of blood. He watched her jerk her hand away. He laughed. "I'm sorry but I just thought to wonder why you are out here alone."

"That is none of you're business," she said as she looked at her finger, seeing a drop of blood trailing down her finger. She wiped away the blood and licked her finger.

He knew that her actions shouldn't cause anything to stir inside him but it did. He watched as her tongue circled around her fingertip to make sure that the blood has stopped. She watched as she pulled her head up and wiped her mouth with the back of her hand.

Ryan watched as her arm fall to her side and his eyes locked onto her breasts. He watched how they rised and fall when she breathed.

"What do you want, Ryan?"

He jerked his gaze away and looked into her face. He was shocked to see her watching him and saw the anger in her eyes as she must have known that he was gazing at her breasts. He stared deep into her eyes and saw that they were a glowing hazel that shined on her face from the moonlight. He watched as she trailed the tip of her tongue over her lips.

"Well, Are you going to just sit there? Or are you going to say something," she said with anger. "Oh just go away, Ryan. I don't wish to be laughed at with your eyes."

"How do you know I'm laughing at you when my mouth isn't moving and there is no sound of laughter coming from my throat," he said as he couldn't believe how he has never noticed her before until now. He knew that before this night was over that he must tasted those full luscious lips.

He couldn't believe that Cathrine had shown no attraction to him at all. He was at least six foot tall with a muscular body and his black raven hair slicked back with his green eyes. He knew that he was every girl's dream come true then why wasn't he Cathrine's. He knew that maybe his scandal behavior had made her see him as nothing more than a scandal himself.

He knew that he must changed and he knew that he would start now, just to see if he could make Cathrine fall in love with her. He grinned and saw her anger rise again.

"By god, what is amusing, Ryan? Can't you leave a woman alone?" she asked with cruelty. She pushed up from the bench and started toward the garden doors to enter the ballroom.

Ryan wouldn't have it as he stood up quickly and stood in her path.

"Get out of my way."

"I wasn't laughing. I was admiring you," he said as he put a hand on her shoulder. "You are very beautiful in the moonlight."

"Oh god, what lies," she said as she pushed him aside with her hand, walking passed him. She shook her head and knew that he didn't mean those words.

Ryan straighten himself and grasped Cathrine's arm, spinning her around until she was facing him. He cupped her chin into his hand and pulls her face toward his. She struggles to get free of him but he only tight his grip a little and pressed his lips to hers. She gasped as she was shocked by his motion.

He slid his hand from his chin to the back of her neck, pressing her lips harder against his. She stared at him with shock in her eyes. He moved his lips over hers gently. She started to feel a shiver of passion ran through her. She couldn't believe this was happening and to her with him of all people. She knew that she should try to pull away again but she couldn't.

For she has never been kissed like this more and closed her eyes, letting her lips moved with his as she felt an unknown heat rushing through her veins. He closed his eyes as well and pushed his tongue between her lips, feeling her teeth against his tongue. He pulled back and nibbled her lower lip, whispering, "Open for me, Cathrine."

She couldn't help but obey as she heard his voice become rough and husky that made her feel alive. She did what his said and parted her lips, letting him in.

He took that advantaged and slipped his tongue into her mouth, swirling his tongue around hers, kissing her with great passion. He let the back of her neck go, continuing to kiss her as he put her arms around his neck as his hands cupped her bottom, pulling her closer, letting her feel his erection against her stomach.

She gasped and shot her eyes open. She pushed away from him and wiped the back of her hand over her mouth. "How dare you?" she yelled. "Don't ever come near me and leave my home." She slapped him and turned as she raced up the steps then disappeared into the ballroom.

He grinned to himself and knew that she tasted wonderful and knew that he had to have more than a kiss. He knew how to get it but he had to change and prove that he was a gentleman to her and society. He took a deep breath and quietly left Cathrine's home for now. He knew that he'd be back and knew that he must talk to his sister about what happen.

He knew that he had to tell Stephanie to bring him with her when she planned to visit Cathrine so he can show to her that he may be good for him. Of course, he must change his reputation first and prove to London that he has changed.

A Secret Dream: Chapter one

Cathrine McCain stood before her friends, having a conversation about why her friends on married. She felt out of place because she was the only one single and hadn't found the right guy yet. She sighed as she pretended to laugh and enjoy the conversation when she really didn't have anything to say. She couldn't believe that all her friends had a happy and loving marriage.

Claire MacArthur could see the sadness on Cathrine's face and put her arm around her shoulder. "Don't worry, Cathy, you'll find someone. I'm sure of it," she said as she tried to cheer up her friend. The rest of her friends agree.

Stephanie Mclain smiled. "Cathy, You know that my brother is still available," she said.

But Cathrine had to roll her eyes because she knew that Ryan Mclain, Stephanie's brother was a scandel and had to sleep with any woman in skirts. She knew that Ryan wouldn't be the man for her. "Thanks, Stephanie, but unless you're brother could be a gentleman instead of a scandal then I may consider him but he is nothing I want in a husband," she said.

Claire had to nod in agreement. "Beside, he's been with Widow Jessica this week."

Stephanie laughed. "Of course, he is sleeping with Jessica because she had to be the widow with the big breasts and no man could resist her." She sighed and thought that her own brother should settle down because his life style is hurting his reputation as Duke of Wales. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw her brother flirting with Widow Sarah in the corner of the ballroom behind the pillar. She shook her head in disappointment. "Excuse me, ladies," she said as she walked toward her brother's direction.

As she left, Cathrine watched as her friend's husbands appeared at their sides. She watched at they were stolen away from her company. She sighed and waved them good bye as their husbands wish to take them home. She moved to the other side of the ballroom and disappeared through the garden doors. She moved down the steps and started to walk down the path toward her mother's garden, getting away from the crowd ballroom.

She couldn't believe that being twenty one, she still had no husband and was still a virgin. She saw herself as plain with her long brunette twisted on top of her head and her skin a little golden tan. Her breasts were full and firm in her low cut gown and her curves were shown very well. Her hazel eyes were a beauty to her father but she saw them as dull a color as the sunset in the evening. She looked at her mother's red roses and smiled, remember how her father told her how him and his mother first met. She sat down on the cold stone bench and took in the fresh night air into her lungs as she took a deep breath.

She will only dream of the life she wants. To have a husband who loves her and the laughter of children filling her home. She sighed and sat there in the darkness of the night. She had to understand how this could be but can never find the answer and maybe she never will.
