On broken wings I fall to the ground
My heart so heavy it weighs me down
So brief was the joy that let me fly
How horrid the pain that makes me cry.
I moan in agony as you walk away
My tears flow free but hold no sway
Our paths now separate, I go alone
Crawling on my knees, I head for home.
Lonely walls to contain my screams
My hiding place until I lock it all away
No one to see me falling apart
No one to care about my broken heart.
Falling Stars

I dream of holding out my hands to catch stars falling all at once from the sky but not a single one can I catch to make my wish, it makes me want to cry.
They wink out one by one as they drip to the ground like fast moving fireflys hiding in tall grass. I look up to see a dark dark sky punched full of holes where the stars used to be.
I focus in to try and see what lies beyond my newly darkened sky but as I peek in
what looks back at me is an even bigger eye.
