This type of music was heavily advertised here in the States some years back. It became a joke to mentioned it. Hell, it might be the same guy. I did like it though but never bought the CD from the TV ads. Now i hear it again in many, if not all, the massage CDs. Relaxing if and when you're in the mood for it.

The old traditional Gipsy music(muzica tiganeasca - Rom.) is so lovely! It contains ancient Gipsy and also ancient Romanian folklore and melodic. Two different nations and cultures making a great artistic harmony.

Too bad that now this tradition was replaced by a new combination of Greek, Turkish and Arab stolen mix Improper named "manele", a sort of turbo-folk.





Here is a nice mix of the great Gipsy singer Romica Puceanu (singing a Romanian old folk melody in the Romanian fiddler tradition) and the notorious Prodigy.

Tried to listen to it but all I could keep picturing was an "one-man band" playing. Like the folk guitars instead.
