Tears of pain fall from my eyes and like this angel I am bound in chains but unlike hers mine are unseen. I wear a mask to hide the agony I live with everyday and lie awake all night wondering if it will ever end.





I travel this broken road that is my life thorns cutting my feet to shreds just to match my heart. I walk on in the darkness gazing up hopeing to see the pale soft light of the moon.





This hope this tiny spark keeps me going even though the chains may bind me and the thorn rip and tear making me bleed and the tears falll constantly bluring my vision and the darkness ever presses in I keep that small glimmer and somehow manage to find the strength to carry on. Perhaps one day it will be too much to bare and I shall just stop and lay down in my weariness just give in perhaps not.





However it goes that day is not today so still I walk on and on and on because to give in to give up that last bit of hope would make all that I have gone through pointless.
