When you are young, you have hopes, and dreams. You know you can conquer the world. You have the ability to do anything you want.
From the age of dreams, you will rise, you will take that which you seek, and stand atop the mountain.
Then..... Life Happens.
At some point, reality has to set in. You grow up, and the dreams begin to fade, like a Magikal Myst.
You go to college, or you don't. You meet that someone special. At least they are special when you meet them. The relationship develops. Maybe even you get married. Things get complicated, children arrive.
Where did the dreams go? You work, you try, but is it ever enough? Suddenly you are locked in a competition with everyone. You want more for your family. You give up on yourself.
And life passes....
Then, you reach mid-life. Your children are grown, the house is empty. Oh yes, you say. "I have grandchildren to look forward to."
But what of you, what happened to all those things you wanted to do in life? You could have done them. Now, you simply look back, trying recapture the youth you once had, the dreams you once thought about.
You say "If only I hadn't...." Had not what? Done this, done that? Remember, every decision you make is like a fork in the road. There are two directions. Take one, life is different.
The dreams always fade. Now you just stand looking up at the mountain.
