WHAT PAULOALVES IS DOING

“To be a vampire is to be more than a legend; it is to be something beyond a star.”
Since I was a child, vampires have always been much more to me than creatures from legends or stories. They represent something that goes beyond fear, the night, and immortality.
Even today, one of my greatest dreams is to become a vampire.
In my view, vampires represent beings that are almost perfect: eternal, mysterious, powerful, intelligent, and capable of crossing entire ages while watching the world change around them. To me, there is something divine in that idea — something that goes even beyond the traditional image of gods.
I do not see the vampire merely as a predator or a creature of the shadows. I imagine that a being with centuries of existence, knowledge, and power could use all of that for something far greater. They could protect people, preserve knowledge that would otherwise be forgotten, witness entire generations, prevent tragedies, and perhaps even help transform the world.
That is what fascinates me the most.
It is not only the idea of living forever. It is the possibility of having enough time to learn everything I can, experience different eras, understand humanity deeply, and use an extraordinarily long existence to build something greater than a single lifetime would ever allow.
For many people, vampires belong only to fiction, folklore, or ancient beliefs. To me, however, they have always symbolized a higher, mysterious, and fascinating form of existence.
The night, eternity, knowledge, and the power to change things.
Perhaps that is why, after so many years, this fascination has never disappeared.
Quite the opposite.
It grew with me.
