As they cling to life
his consciousness drifts away
she shivers with the cold but with fear as well
for he has given his place so she may live
the night endures with the piercing cold
the only ray of hope the glimmer on the sea
from a world far above this shady sphere
amongst its presence in the dark sky
like that sparkle that love brings in their eye
the few filled twinkling little stars
and only moments ago
they were warm with passion
the steam of their bodies clouding the window pane
as if they knew their time will soon come
to part each others ways
they made sure they would explore,
and taste every single spice that could rise
perhaps without evil, there'd be no good
maybe no up, to where there is down
no night to sooth from the shinning day
as if we are meant to lose our love in such a way
what were their thoughts of each other before they met
they never fathomed they would have love come that day
perhaps she was too good for him
or it might have been the other way around
for in that night fate it seems cut their future dim
but he saved her life once before
she was over the edge, couldn't take it anymore
then he would come and bring her over
off the rails and in to her heart
but now the fantasy and recall is at end
his grip now slipping away
as they come back to that cold night
the ship of dreams now gone but for a piece
that piece of ship that in which now she lays
was the reason why she still stays
as she sees the light a flicker from afar
he, her love, has now gone
she made a promise to him to survive
so she mustered every bit of him she could
to keep that promise she uttered come back
come to the rescuers, come back...
so as she set him free, she said she'd never let go
he'll be in her heart forever, till as far as she knows
he slowly submerges into the dark sea...
steadily lost to sight as he goes down in deep...
as the last part of him his hand you see...
this is when you start to tear...although frozen but, still for him
she with a name of a flower
gathers strength to signal her rescue
and she is saved
"a womans heart is a deep ocean of secrets"
she says later in life...
although she was saved that night,
he had saved her in every way possible
a memory is all that is left...
the heart of the ocean,
now sinking into the abyss
