I watched the snow fall down from the sky
In it's white and elegance
Ever so slowly and gracefully
A flake happens to fall upon my hand
And I watch it melt right before my unsaintly eyes
I realized
"I not only could make life"
"But I could instantly take one like ice melting"
To the person laying in the grave below
I stand before you
Not only to create a blasphemy
But to call you from beyond the grave
Not as a ghost but as someone I could talk too
You’re so cold, so dead and so lifeless
You could no longer smile for the skin is decaying around your beautiful face
You could no longer cry for the tears have dried up after many years
Your skin is cold to the touch because no more blood runs through your veins
And here you are, still so beautiful…
But, I bet you’re ever so broken.
Broken like a doll only needing of repair
But they always have said, once broken, always broken
To the person laying in the grave below
I understand how you feel
I’m so cold, so dead, so lifeless on the inside
I could no longer smile for the pain will force me to hide it
I could no longer cry, for the tears are simply blood that spills
You know I am broken just as you are
Expect I have a chance at being repaired
It’s whenever I choose to or not
But my pain has always told me I am alive
To the person laying in the grave below me
Here I stand
You are buried 6 feet under and I am still alive
Why, why must I live?
I do not wish too
I wish to be buried just like you are but something pulls me through
Each time I tried to die, it seems as though I wake up like it was a dream
To the person laying in the grave below
I stand before you not only to create a blasphemy
But to call you beyond the grave
Not as a ghost but as a friend
To whom I write this dearest painful requiem too
