I bring death,
you bring die.
We roll together.
Infinite night!
Hand in hand,
held up high,
slashed down,
and etching red.
Green and red
curled leaves left
in fingers unfurled.
Ribbons of white,
tied up in knots
dot the mud and
reflect the light.
Insects chortle
while you laugh.
Tears roll down
into the mud
passifying my deed-
my horrible duty.
Don’t you forget the half of me-
The kind, caring, grateful and humble-
When I be thought-less instead of thoughtful.
Don’t mention the lack of honey
When you are out in search of money.
I can be more than accommodating, honey,
To those that think me lovely.
I am the dark and desolate
someone from someplace
dank and dirty. I am
destroying the path I paved,
destroying everything I made
And digging deeper with
unsteady hands and
unassuming legs and
a mind uncertain of destiny.
My mouth is daring:
“Do not be me.”
Dare you listen?
