One day two boys, one older then the other, were asked to head to town for grociaries by their mother. The family lived in a clearing deep in a forest. There was a rumor that at night an evil beast came out and roamed the forest, looking for blood, but never left the shelter of the trees. So the boys left home early in the morning to be sure they could make it back.
The boys were returning with there bags when the eldest boy noticed the sun setting. This wasn't a good sign, they were in the forest. However, they were not far from the clearing of their house. When he spoke this aloud the boy started a sprint. The eldest boy jumped into the clearing just as the last ray of sunlight disappeared.
He looked around. His brother was nowhere to be seen. He feared the worst.
The next morning he went out to look for his brother. Fairly close to the clearing was his body. He had almost made it. He swore vengance for his brother on this bloodsucker.
Taht's when he noticed a trail of blood leading from the body. He followed it andfound the cave where it slept in the day. He vowed to return. He had to make a trap to kill this beast.
When he returned home, he gathered some rope and made a net. He sharpened some thick sticks he had gathered to a point and attached them to the net. He was ready.
He went out into the forest, to the cave, late the next day. He hung his net in front of the cave, so as not to leave an opening for it to get out freely. Sitting down in front of the cave, he waited until nightfall.
At first it was just a hum, but as it drew closer it became a scream. He smiled, knowing he would prevail. The bloodsucker slamed into the net, bursting into a thousand pieces. The boy died smileing as thousands of misquitoes tore him apart.
