When I found you,
it wasn’t meeting
it was remembering.
Like my bones exhaled,
like my shadow stepped forward
and whispered, There you are.

I loved you with a hunger
that frightened the quiet parts of me,
a devotion sharp enough
to carve its name into fate.
Others were sparks
you were the wildfire
that refused to die.

I would cross ruin for you,
walk through the teeth of storms,
tear open the sky

back into your hands.
