She was beautiful as a rose

As gentle as a dove

As silent as a midnight breeze

Her hands were soft as lilies

Her face white as snow.

I looked at her and smiled

She looked down at me her eyes sad

"I love you my child," she whispered to the wind

"I love you."

Her words echoe in my ear night after night

I lay in bed and wonder

Why

Why if she loved me did she leave

Why did she jump

Why did she die.
