Beneath the moon where black trees sway,
There lived a witch who hid away.
She knew the names of stars and stone,
And secrets whispered by the bone.
She kept old books beneath her bed,
With silver words the shadows read.
She knew the language of the rain,
And why the moon would wax and wane.
She knew what herbs could heal a scar,
And which dark paths led somewhere far.
She knew the dreams that people feared,
And truths that never should be heard.
But when they asked, “What do you know?”
She only smiled and whispered, But oh
Some knowledge shines, and some must hide,
Like buried gold beneath the tide.
For wisdom, wrapped in mystery,
Was safest kept beneath a tree.
And every night, beneath the moon,
She learned another secret tune.
