A couple weeks ago I went down with what I thought to be flu.
As things went on I ended up in so much pain I could hardly walk or see.
I went into hospital with suspected meningitis.
They discovered it was not that thankfully but a virus that had made my brain swell and my heart was beating very quick and my blood pressure was low.
I spent a lot of time in and out of continuousness.
I had scans to make sure it was not a blood clot or tumour.
They did a lumber puncture on me which is by far one of the most painful things I have ever had done to me.
The results showed something was making pressure around my head.
Now they think I have swelling behind my eyes so Im being investigated for that next week.
If they are right then they can make all this better.
Im home thankfully now. I have help
I find it hard to hold conversations and I walk a bit strange now. Everything is done slowly and my speech is still a little slurred.
I sleep a lot but been told thats because of all the medication they pumped into me in hospital.
I have been warned the virus may have caused me some long term damage. So seeing a neurologist regularly is on the cards for me.
I feel like I have been invaded something just came and snatched my life away.
I feel strange when I walk and I get frustrated by not being able to go about life as before.
I hope to get stronger and fight to get me back again.

I feel sorry about your pain and illness. You probably know what this site is like, not many people leave comments, even on important posts like this one. I hope you get lots of replies, but if you don't, your post was still worthwhile for you and the people it touched.
I'll still say get well soon, while understanding you may have a difficult road ahead.
