Were we this annoying when Interview with a Vampire came out?

I just wish I didn't have to see that one guy who looks like a caveman everywhere. A pale gloomy caveman. Caveman vampires... Ahh that has to be a movie.

How did he get the leading role? Can he break walnut shells with his forehead?
