So this is a new show on Fox.
And I have to say that so far it isn't as funny as the commercials made it out to be though so far it has had it's moments. Actually some of the scenes are pretty damn depressing, and there were a few that made me want to vom. LOL
Of course they added characters otherwise it wouldn't be much of a show, with just one person it would have never had more than one season.
Though given hints about what happened, the show leaves me with more questions than answers. Such as, if it was a virus, where are all the dead bodies? Did this happen over night? Because I think if it was something that slowly progressed he wouldn't seem to be so confused while looking for other survivors.
We shall see, this isn't my favorite show so far but I'm hoping it will catch up so to speak.
DUFF stands for Designated Ugly Fat Friend. Mae Whitman, plays the main character who by the way ISN'T fat or ugly, but is considered to be less attractive than her best friends. I expected this movie to be a typical teen movie, and in a lot of ways it is, it had a lot of predictable moves within it.
The main character tries to reinvent herself after learning that she is the duff in her group of friends, it literally changes how she sees people in social groups. In the end she defeats the bully in the story, (who didn't necessarily label her but does rub that label in) with a speech towards the end of the movie. (Of course) She also gets the guy albeit it is not the guy she thought she wanted.
I was thinking she would magically become homecoming queen and gain popularity by standing up to her bully however that wasn't the case.
The movie sends a strong message about being true to oneself by accepting who you are, which I feel is something a lot of people struggle with at all ages.
The movie had a few funny moments but it was not as funny as the trailers made is seem, which was disappointing.
I'd give this movie a 5.5/10.
Saw CHAPPiE yesterday. Was a good movie. Cried a bit, was funny in a few moments, and had some action. I kind of assumed this movie would be a lot like Short Circuit and in some ways it kind of was. But had a much deeper storyline. The graphics were pretty cool. And overall interesting to think about the possibilities. The ending was kind of a twist for me but nothing completely farfetched. All in all I'd buy this movie once on DVD can't say the same for the last movie I saw. (Jupiter Ascending) I give it a 7 out of 10.
So I saw Jupiter Ascending, in theaters about a month or so ago.
And thought I'd make this section a review kind of thing not just for movies but food/restaurants, games, tv shows, books etc etc.
I'd give this movie a 6 out of 10.
The graphics were amaze-balls. The story was not completely original but was interesting. And the love story written in was expected and cliche to me. I would not have expected to see Channing Tatum in a role like this but overall I'd say he did a good job. Mila Kunis isn't my favorite actress and this movie didn't really change my opinion on that but she can't help that the writer basically made her the cliche victim and overall kind of helpless even in the end.
It was an okay movie. I would not buy this DVD but if it was on TV someday I might watch it again if it was the only thing on. LOL
