A second Scottish swine flu victim dies at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley. The 73-year-old, who has not been named, was said to have had "serious underlying health problems".
June 29
The number of swine flu cases passes the 1,000 mark in Scotland with 196 newly confirmed cases. The total now stands at 1,118, including six who are in hospital.
A schoolgirl in Birmingham with underlying health problems dies after contracting the virus. She becomes the first child - and the third person overall - with swine flu to die in the UK.
Overall, 70,893 people have contracted the virus around the world - a leap of more than 11,000 in the last two days. A total of 311 have died.

Antiviral drugs are offered to children and staff at Croft Park Nursery in Airdrie in North Lanarkshire after coming into contact with a child with swine flu.
July 1
Six friends - five from Montrose and one from Fettercairn - contract swine flu while on holiday in Ibiza. They are among the 1,217 people to have contracted the virus in Scotland, including 57 in the latest report from the Scottish Government.
In its latest report, the WHO say 77,201 people have had the virus around the world, including 332 deaths.
July 2
In a stark message to MPs, the Health Secretary says the number of swine flu cases could reach more than 100,000 per day in the UK by the end of August. The UK has moved past the stage of containing the flu outbreak and into the "treatment phase", Andy Burnham also tells MPs.
July 3
Officials announce 64 new cases of swine flu, taking the Scottish total to 1,325.
The overall number of cases leaps by more than 12,000 since the previous report two days earlier, to 89,921. That includes a rise of 50 deaths to 382.
