Death my old friend,
You are always out there,
Lurking and waiting,
Ready to put your cold hand,
On someone's shoulder,
Even in this life,
We have met twice,
Looking into your cold stare,
Both times walked away,
More alive for having faced you,
Many times in past lives,
I have cheated you and laughed,
Yet that last laugh is always yours,
For you will eventually,
Pull your black veil,
Over me once again,
Yet I do not fear you,
For you will be my guide,
Once again to the next life,
Yes you are always there,
My Old Friend Death.

WOW! What wonderful writing, and so much truth. I don't know of your (twice) experience's but I am sure they are a tale to be told with intrested ears to listen.
