The only true way to live is through the guidance of love. The only real possession in life is love. Where love is found, there is order. Where order is found, there is peace. Where peace is found, there is life.

This is coming from the girl who wishes to become a Marine. But it is true. War is unnecessary but honorable. It all depends on your reason for fighting.

My reason has nothing to do with the well of the country or freedom. We have that, and it cannot be found through war. No, my reason is so that I can be able to experience real life. To get out of the shell I live in and give my life meaning and purpose.

My mother says I am too innocent to take a life. She is probably right. But that is not what will stop me from joining. I do not know what will. I hope I never do. The Marine Corps seems like an exellent and honorable way to live.
