Shadows and silhouettes danced in my mind,
Their embrace like the warmth of your kiss,
Fleeting and dangerously close to the edge,
What a beautifully dark precipice.
The colors and images twisted and naked,
Your life one of abstract affairs.
The melodic transcendence of illusion and myth,
A symphony of death and despair.
My actions a fraction behind my intent,
As your body was finally brought down
The victim of murderous means of expression,
Your flesh and your blood on the ground.
I knelt down beside you as time seemed to slow,
I was sure of the truth I would find.
When reality finally slammed back into view,
Regaining control of my mind.
Illusions replaced by the darkness of truth,
My mind in a haze of its own.
As I silently screamed in the face of the sane,
My affliction had finally grown
Like the calm in the wake of the wind’s deadly force,
The wreckage was strewn all around.
For the massacre witnessed just moments ago,
Was no more than some trash on the ground.
Walking away as they whispered and stared,
The delusion still fresh in my mind.
I gathered my paints and my canvas together,
Unsure as to what I would find.
Each stroke brought to life and abundance of depth,
The beauty and Horror took shape.
As the colors all mingled together in chaos,
This portrait my precious escape.
Save your breath and empty words,
Do us all a favor.
Give us the chance to miss your presence,
Your absence we will savor.
A spirit of contempt when we all try to help,
You whine and complain "its' not fair".
Don't share your problems and ask my opinion,
If all that you seek is hot air.
Don't get it twisted and bent out of shape,
It's not that I wish you would die.
I really just wish I could press the mute button,
Those times when you obviously lie.
I usually am the first one to help,
And the last one to leave someone's side.
But you make me run for those far away hills,
Your comments amazingly snide.
Others will tell you it will all be okay,
And you're not the one to be blamed.
But I'm here to tell you to look in the mirror,
If you can see past all of your shame.
For you are the reason your life is in shambles,
Your bed you make daily with hate.
And though you are blessed with beautiful looks,
Your soul's in a most wretched state.
So do as you will and ignore any truth,
That might help you see what you are.
You're blinders are wonderfully dark and effective
They've obviously gotten you far
The others are surely impressed with your mind,
As you assume today's victim stance.
I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact ,
That they all have their hands down your pants.
For those who will read this and think I'm a dick,
You really don't know me at all.
It takes a special person to push me this far,
My back up against a wall.
I won't use specifics and call you out publicly,
I still have my honor, my dear,
But I hope you will earnestly look for some help,
To help you get over your fear.
If you really want honesty send me a note,
You already know I won't lie.
If you're sincerity shows and you listen for once,
I might even help you get by.
It's all up to you how you respond to this poem,
I've said all I have to say.
Just drop the charade and look deep within,
Do you really like livng this way?
COMMENTS
Well lets just tell it like it is :P
lol I will thank you :p
Inspiration bleeds on the canvas of life,
Calling out to the ones who can see.
Crimson and royal in their virtuous ways,
The tragedy beckoning me.
I thirst for release as I sample a vision,
Metaphorically battling with sword,
The expression that yearns to be freed by the pen,
An addiction that won't be ignored
A struggle to cut through the veil of thought,
To capture invisible themes.
To ride on the waves of a purposeful tide,
Reality not as it seems
How do I catch thee and cast thee in ink,
Exposing your depth and your soul?
The explosion of syllables crashing around me,
Verbal wreckage that now takes its toll.
The muse disappearing in the smoke of my mind,
As though it was planned from the start.
The swiftness of purpose dividing the distance,
To capture a piece of her heart.
A final attempt as my feet leave the ground,
For without her I'm nothing but me,
My fingers extended and clutching her form
Her presence like sweet ecstacy.
Taking her all as I feed on her ways,
The vision combined with my sight.
Her majesty flowing down into my pen,
And spilling on parchment of white.
A beautiful marriage symbolic of life,
As the mind and the heart work as one.
Offering concepts of that which I feel,
Blinding and bright as the sun.
Expectancy fills me as thoughts come alive,
Addictions that soon get their fill,
As all that I long to become manifests,
In the text of the ink that I spill.
A moment in time when I have no defense,
My walls falling down with each verse.
Until finally freedom is mine to behold,
Temporarily quenching my thirst.
I know you better than you know yourself,
Your fate in the palm of my hand.
The reality you have failed to grasp.
Though you nod as if you understand.
Lean down close and ignore the past,
A blind eye to the truth.
My words they soothe and hide your pain,
As I feed upon your youth.
Ignore the warnings and heed my voice,
Seduced by broken dreams.
Feeding upon my satin syllables,
And muffling your screams.
The crimson tide upon my lips,
Your pain disguised as lust.
Sensually seeking your next escape,
With every scream and thrust.
Your vision fades in a trembling sea,
Orgasmic waves of peace.
Pleasure and pain come together as one,
As you earn your sweet release.
Both of us feeding and taking our fill,
Addictions we just can't control,
Finding solace in the throes of your fear,
As you offer up part of your soul.
Darkness and misery blended as one,
You beg for that which you crave.
Only to find there is no one to help you,
The Master has made you his slave.
Kit kats and Cartman were all that we knew,
On that fateful summer day.
And suddenly, without a sound,
The tarot had its way.
Like a moth to a flame on the blackest of nights,
Irresistably drawn to your door.
Pushing the boundaries of what I had known,
I continually hungered for more.
The depth of your passion my words can't convey,
Though many a time I have tried.
Each time you speak I am instantly helpless,
My defenses laid down at my side.
I'm amazed at the way you so frequently give,
Without ever so much as a thought.
As to what you might gain or how it might hurt you,
In the end, giving all that you've got.
What can I offer to one such as you,
But these words that are straight from the heart?
To assure you that what you have offered this world,
Is no less than a true work of art.
A vision of hope, inspiration to all,
Who shall ever be touched by your grace.
That your presence has offered more than you know,
Made this world a much better place.
Solemn skies and bated breath,
I wait for your reply.
Lost in a sea of floating thoughts,
Beneath this darkened sky.
The icy current swirls below,
Calling out my name.
The shore a distant memory,
Its forest filled with blame.
The fires of ignorance swirling about,
Engulfing every truth.
Leaving only remnants,
Of a dark and twisted youth.
Numbness fading from my skin,
Those needles sharp and strong,
As reality rears its ugly head,
Present all along.
Indulgence makes its way up close,
To whisper in my ear.
But truth descends and offers hope,
Destroying all the fear.
COMMENTS
I couldn't have found a better time to read this, than now.
well done
Tried to write some pleasant words,
but all that I could see,
Was you and him together,
in the throes of agony.
It's not the fact you spoke those words,
while knowing they were lies.
Nor the fact that I've known him,
for almost my whole life.
You see, the hardest part to grasp is how, you both thought you were smart.
And never thought that I'd return,
to tear your world apart.
But now that I've presented you a chance to state your case,
Please, my dear, choose carefully,
the words you wish to waste.
For time is of the essence,
and I must confess is near.
When your desperate pleas and cries for help,
no longer fill my ear.
Your lover had the chance to speak,
Before I claimed his tongue.
Don't worry, you will meet again,
When all of this is done.
You're sorry how it all went wrong,
it just happened so you say.
Well, I just happened to find this knife,
while driving here today.
Dry your tears, the worst is past,
you'll never hurt again.
and I'll make sure the casket's closed,
For both you and your friend.
Quiet while I concentrate,
and take my brush in hand,
To paint these walls a crimson hue
and help you understand.
The canvas, hard as stone, is me
the paint, my dear is you.
Your friend will make a lovely dinner,
tender when I chew.
the pain I felt the catalyst,
that brought this all about.
Culminating in a masterpiece,
the world can't do without.
COMMENTS
nicely written!
You have a fan!
love it!
a beautiful work... in all it's love and hate (:
Manifestations of something fierce,
Beckoning my name.
Carried from those hallowed halls,
Amid the smoke and flames.
Expectations riding high,
The circle cast is whole.
Focus now intensfied,
The power takes its hold.
Sharpened blade upon my skin,
Crimson pure and bright.
Offered for the one whose claim,
Is stronger than my might.
Ecstacy in waves so vast,
The feeding is at hand.
Bound by chains ethereal,
Too weak to even stand.
My offering is thus, my dear,
My service and my life.
Relinquished in the midst,
of all the agony and strife.
In exchange for that I seek,
Releasing all I've known.
Changing, screaming, born again,
I see I'm finally home.
