I firmly belive that it is important to do things, every now and then, for yourself. So I did that.
A photographer friend of mine came over today and took some pictures for me, specificaly for VR.
My daughter also took some pictures, after the photoshoot was done, and a few of those are now at the bottom of my Portfolio.
One of the important lessons learned in life is this.
No matter what, respect yourself and understand that life is not always easy. But what we do with what we have..That is what makes us who we are.
I was asked to help a friend of mine write a sonnet that is due tomorrow for his school project..
I have spent the better part of three hours working with him. Helping him.. Trying to formulate ideas on what he wants to write on..
Woohoo we find a topic.. Winter.. excellent..
Asked him all kinds of questions to help him flesh out this topic and why he likes it.. three hours of work..
He didnt write any of it down.. and all he can come up with now is..
Snow.. its cold.. I like it..
I keep thinking to myself.. It must truely be a sad thing to not be able to write.. to not be able to feel the words flow through you.. to be able to express what you want to on paper or in text.. to.. paint a picture with your words..
I could cry right now... I cant help him.. I tried my best.. but I will not write it for him.. he has to do it on his own..
: sighs: to be 15, a brilliant mind but unable to write creativly... its got to be a horrible feeling..
Within the rules we are bound and without them we are lost. For the rules define us and help us grow. They teach us what is and is not important and most of all.. Which rules we can break.
I was speaking to a great friend of mine this morning and we got to talking about a situation that she encountered.
I want to now share with Vr something that not many thing about..

Just remember this.. Often times we will never know the impact we make on someones life. Sometimes all it takes to turn an entire life around is a kind word and a simple "Hi how are you?"
Sometimes just the simple fact that you took the time to check on someone, that lets them know.. hey.. someone noticed me.. I am not alone.. maybe... just maybe.. I should stick around. Who knows what I will miss..

My friend was kind enough to allow me to quote her responce so here it is.
"If someone listens, or stretches out a hand or whispers a word of encouragement, or attempts to understand a lonely person, extraordinary things begin to happen." ~~Chordewa
