Lately, it seems, I'm being given an abundance of people claiming to have such a thing, yet exhibiting behavior that would suggest otherwise.
I would think the first principal of being "above" somebody would be to act as such, but not in a condescending manner.
I don't know. Maybe I'm just being a cocky prick myself, but, with that as my reference, I feel above the "above". I see no one as beneath me, yet I do find certain behaviors to be as such.
I find these people's lax approach at spirituality to be a joke. I'm not against the use of mind altering chemicals to aide a person if they should wish to use them, but I have nothing against those that take a "drug-free" path to enlightenment. However, tripping with no direction is about as effective as fucking for abstinence. If you wish to be on the path to enlightenment, then give yourself a path to follow. Floating aimlessly through space will get you nowhere.
And be careful of the paths you decide to take! Never "float" down a path; always have both feet firmly planted on terra firma. There may be a split in the path that one may need to consciously take, or you may need to turn back entirely.
Should that be the case, never see failure in your quest. Everything is an opportunity to learn. Take lesson from everything.
