It all seemed to go by so quickly. The Vikings are 0-3 to start the season. The leaves are turning and starting to fall. The familiar roar of school buses means school is back in session. The days and nights are getting cooler. The sun is getting blotted out by cloud cover the majority of the time. The "official" start to the fall season was a couple days ago. It's autumn in Minnesota.
This time of year always brings up memories of school and seeing friends again. As an adult...life if kind of a bitch like that. You make friends, and life manages to separate the most of you. Jason, Andy, Chris...countless others...have families of their own to tend to, and jobs with hours that differ from mine, so you tend to run into each other less and less. Thinking about skipping school, and backyard wrestling...Jason pulling off a Hurracanrana when I was trying to do a Power Bomb...epic reversal XD.
It's not so much I feel bad. It kind of brings up warm memories. I just wish the times themselves weren't gone. Shit...so many memories in the fall! :D Back to School always meant meeting new people, which lead to meeting even more people. Street football every weekend when I was in High School. I'd wake up Saturday and walk over to Ty's...they'd have some weed or booze, or both...we'd chill out and play Worms on the Dreamcast smoking weed and passing the bottle...get nice and crispy then head outside to play some football. It was great too. Ty's house was THE SPOT for all us weirdo stoner freaks...you had Ty, his 3 brothers, Matty would usually show up, sometimes Luger would be there, Corey lived across the street...I'd show up. 4 on 4 street football. Too much fun, honestly. I remember the first time they got me wasted and then tried to get us all to play some football. I ran into a parked car XD lol
Anyway...memory lane and shit here XD
Fall means winter is coming, and I'm not much a fan of that. It's not so much that it's cold : I'm a Minnesotan...I'm used to it. It's basically all the inconvenience it's going to cause. I already know my commute time will double once the snow starts flying. No grip on the road, being aware of black ice, the good chance of driving in a snow storm...all will make shit take longer. At work making deliveries will probably turn sloppy and nasty...and take longer. That's my main dread. I don't have much time on my hands as is. The last thing I need, really, is more of it getting sucked up. Yeah...I think it's time to move to Arizona. XD
So I know I've been gone a while with no real explanation.
I hadn't really been feeling too social lately. Still don't, really.
My mother had a massive stroke around the end of August, and that didn't really help my mood much. Well, that's an understatement. Shook my world up pretty bad.
So...that's what's up. I'll try to get out of the shadows and keep up with everything.
