The loves in my life

Are you and my son.

All I can remember

Is all of our fun?

We did laugh

And did cry

But without those two

Our love is a lie.

You were strong

And I so weak.

The hurt in my heart

Was none of to speak?

I miss your love

And your body to hold.

I miss your smile

And hair of gold.

I miss my son

And the sound of his voice.

I miss you all

But there was no choice

The love in your heart

Faded away.

But I can’t wait

For that special day.

When you’re back in my arms

And there to stay.

And the laughter of our son

As we two play.

I wish to God

Even the stars above

That once again,

We share our love.

You’re miles away

And all I can fear,

You might forget

I don’t laugh

And try not to cry,

But without your love

Why can’t it be?

My son still laughs,

His dad is gone.
