my mother made me ponder this question today. she is a first-grade teacher and over dinner she tells me about how she doesn't enjoy a certain little girls behavior in her classroom. she told me that they were outside and the little girl saw a honeybee. my mom was informing the girl on the importance of bees and how they are considered to be endangered so we have to do what we can to protect them. immediately after learning this the little girl smushed the bee under her foot and made sure my mom was watching her. there was another instance she told me about how the kids are growing plants in the window and the little girl was looking at them. she called out to my mom to get her attention and as she looked at her, she crushed another kids plant that was doing really well. she wanted to be sure that my mom witnessed her destroy it but why? many would assume that the girl is simply acting out and all she really wants is attention no matter how she gets it. while this is an excellent hypothesis it doesn't feel quite right to me. i asked my mom if she talked to the girls mom about her behavior and she told me yes. it seemed that ever this girls mom didn't understand why her daughter did the things that she does. she says that she thinks there may be something wrong with her mentally. could it be that this mother is a neglectful parent or was her child simply born that way? does all naughtiness come from some form of trauma, is it always an odd cry for help, can it just appear? i feel as if we may never receive a true answer to this question since there is almost always something that can be blamed for a child acting out. whether it be bad parents, other trauma, mental health issues, or simply being a curious kid who tests the limits of societal rules. can people really be born bad or must there always be something that makes humans this way?
just writing to write something. i guess ill write whatever comes to mind. i feel like there are so many freaks on here (and not the good kind lol) it kinda unfortunate that im met very few actually cool people on here. its whatever i guess. im so freaking tired its not even funny blah blah blah blah blah hehe
memories are what shape us. we are beings of experience. without memory we have nothing, no soul, no mind, no sense. we all have things we long to forget, but what would we be without them? who would we be? with age many lose their memory, and it is a terrible thing. so, which is better? to lose all the memories you now have? or to never make new ones?

Interesting concept. I think you are right or close to it. If we couldn't store information and develop patterns and protocols for the input the outside world gives us, we would run against each problem or joy as an issue of efficiency to be solved. However, if we give a computer an AI model and plenty of storage, it does "learn" from experience. It can pattern recognize. Have expectations. Make decisions and produce opinions but is without a soul. So what is a soul really? Is it recessed within our blood? Or packed away somewhere in the brain? An area we are not conscious of or capable of manipulating
