Chapter 1, Section 2
I expected not to dream, instead I did. A memory resurfaced, the memory of the late Kino, my dead love. I was once again seeing her destroyed down by that murderous maniac. I wanted to wake up, but couldn't for another memory had awoke.
It was of one of my few friends, and fewer allies. The memory was about the late Cujo. After reliving it for another time, I began to wake. Opening my eyes, from what I could tell night had claimed it place.
Sitting up, my long unused muscles were sore, my body was stiff from laying there so long. From what I could tell, my chest was bandged up up all the way to my neck. My arms were also bandged. Scanning the room, I noticed a door facing the foot of the bed.
Voices were talking to low for me to hear what they were saying. But I could still recognize the female's voice that had stayed with me, holding my hand.
Falling back into the mattress, pain suddenly shoots up my spine. Thankfully it subsides quickly, so I let the darkness claim me into the its arms.
Chapter 1, Section 1
As I feel the bullet pass through my skin, numbness spreads like wildfire in my neves. They say your life flashes before your eyes right before you die. Not for me. I just saw my attacker. As I fell to the ground, I became unconcious.
Everything was black, but I started to rise. Not like rising from sleep, or rising from being knocked out. Once I was able, my first thought was that I was dead. But when I opened my eyes, Iwas staring at a ceiling of some kind of room.
At the corner of my eye, I could see a bood shelf that was finily crafted of cherrywood. On my left hand , I could feel another hand on it. It felt soft and smooth, and very femenin. I thought of my lover-Kino-but remebered that she was dead.
I started to ask who was there, but the woman-who's voice sounded like pure silver bells-told me,"Shush now, go to sleep. Regain your strength." At her order, I sunk back into the darkness.
