i go by few different names, one is moontear, though some i know argue i should put lady infront of it. they say it is my right. for me, its just an unneeded title. i am no different then those i work with or teach. we are all students and to presume we know it all, is a mistake. there for i forgo the title. some call me lady and i do answer, for some its a sign of respect. its a perody. i dont like the title, but i've been told to deny one of the respect they wish to bestow upon me is an offensive crime in itself. so how do i get them to see me as just me and nothing else? i dont know. i costantly remind them i am no more or no less then they. i am just me.



another name i go by is shay. surprisingly enough, i found a few things i didnt know. one is it is spelled shay, shae, or shait. it, she, is the goddess of judgement in egyptian mythology. you cant pass until her judgement is placed. sucks if your a bad person, not so if your kind.



now i had gone by shay for years, long before moontear. it was a name a friend gave me in high school. one i still answer to.



but research led me to this knowledge, and the love for all things egyptian. i however unlike the goddess i share a name with, pass no judgement.



moontear came to me as a name sacred. moon because i always follow the moon's cycle. and apparently my moods fit right in to whatever the moon is doing. so i'm told.



tear because of the feelings i feel. the empathy. not to mention i feel more than most, pick up on things others dont. and i'm emotionally tied to those around me.



then there is my birth name. it was given to me by my father. a cause to our celtic heritage. i was named after a river in ireland. also to my surprise was it is one of the eight river goddesses. which also deals with fate. if my dad had truly known this, i doubt he would have given me the name. he doesnt like our heritage much.



but i am proud of the names. i am proud of my heritage.
