Iv seen a day, only closed eyes can show,
a silent moment, I never wish to know,
When my lungs expand, with it's final breath,
And collapses by, the hand of death,
When all sound is gone, in a deafening quiet,
like fading vision, with blurring sight,
In that moment you feel, all in life that you've felt,
In your silence you wish, for a different card to be dealt,
But there are no more cards, in that deck that is yours,
All but one that wont get, a single hand of applause,
You wish for those moments, all the ones put to waste,
And regret those thought important, the ones with no taste,
In those last seconds you're gifted, the conscious meaning of life,
And finally let go of, every emotion that ran rife,
Your last lesson of time, the one no school could have taught,
The lesson of life, that happiness can't be bought.
