Ok this book was kind of hard to get into. It is a very good book just very hard to get into at first. The story line is very interesting. I really do love Anne Rice's books. I mean they are amazing. But if you have to have a quick entrance then I would suggest you not read this book. Keep in mind these are only my opinons and they are only based on my own feelings they are not book reviews or anything like that. this is just a way for me to keep you up to date on what I am reading. Ok that is my thought on that book. very good but hard to start.
Ok this is the second book I read. Yes I am reading a lot of classics. I am very well glad I reread this book. I had forgotten a lot of what had gone on in it. It was very sad and happy at the end one of the sisters dies that was very sad for me. I am sure you can all relate to the loss of someone close to you but this was also a reminder of how it was even for young girls in the early years of this country. It was vary hard on them during the civil war because they did not have their fathers or brothers (for some) around because they were off at war. This was very hard they had to do for themselves. They had many things expected of them even when they were young. It is a reminder of what we do take for granted in this day and time. We have so much that is given to us and we have many things that are around now that they did not have to occupy their time (such as the internet and such). This book was again very well written and a very great read. I would suggest it to anyone who wants a good read.
Ok I have started and I have read 3 out of 282 so here is the first one.
The Scarlet Letter:
Wow what a book I mean it was strange to think that women did not have that many rights not so long ago. we take a lot for granted. I mean if we did anything wrong we were either publicly humiliated or put to death. That is harsh. Many women were seen as objects to men. I guess to some degree they still are but women demand more respect now than they could during that time. I mean I have to say I respect Hester (the main character) for her resilience and love for the preacher (also her lover). She was a very strong woman for as much as everyone put her though. There was so much that we really don't understand about that time in history. We have really gotten away from what they thought was proper back then. It is quite scary to think that you could be put to death for something as simple as having an affair with someone while you are married or even unwed. (compared to what it is today) I mean today it is not uncommon to see unwed couples having children but then it was just a plain outrage for that to happen. well anyway it was an excellent book and very well written. I am very glad I reread it.
I started this test with myself I want to read 282 books by the end of the year. I will place each book I read on a list on my profile. I have already finished 2 of them but I still have a long way to go... ^_^ but hey it is for the betterment of my mind and body right. I think... lol ok well anyway still have a lot to do so I am done with this Inner thought for the day. Have a Great day to all.

My brother told me that out of Ann Rice's vamp books that one of the others is better to read first...can't remember which one now and would ask if he wasn't absorbed in the computer at the moment lol But he told me not to read Interview with a Vampire first that it was the hardest to get into and that the others give more understanding as to what the story line is about, I still haven't started reading her books but I do want to read them :P
You still need to read The Twilight Saga and definatly need to read The Lovely Bones- don't watch the movie it freaking sucked! lol

I have read almost all of Anne Rice books and they are all slow starts as she tries to build up the characters and the plot.
