Golf

Is there any other activity out there like it? Played yesterday.... beautiful course, great friends, overall good time. But seriously, I can't think of a game that is both pleasurable and painful as much as golf. Well maybe sex, but I digress... One shot, I feel like Tiger. The next, I should be playing frisbee instead. Make a putt, high fives all around, next shot I'm throwing my driver in a lake. Up and down, left and right. Much like an old college girlfriend, in so many ways...

It was almost a joke that I joined this site. Some free time (which I don't always have) and some questions about vampires (the myth of course) got me here. I wanted to look around, so I joined and was strangely pulled in.

I have to say I enjoy the forums and serious discussions. Plenty of smart minds, although some need to lay off the big words and focus on their use of the english language. But overall, plenty to bend the mind a bit.

Friends... not many. Never been one to latch on in forums, maybe I just don't have the time or desire. Heck, can barely keep up with my current ones.

Anyway, while I wasn't sure I'd stick around, I'm still here and enjoying the time spent reading.
