You ever notice how most religions empathize that humans are eternal beings and essentially have no end even after death? (Personally I think it's just further boosting the collective ego mankind has but that's besides the point) Well what if I don't want to be eternal? What if I just want a state of unconscious when I die and not have to deal with another state of existence? Is eternal consciousness/existence really necessary? Couldn't you just have an option whenever you want when your in the afterlife that you decide "alright this was nice and all but now I want eternal sleep" Isn't it all pointless when you really think about it?
