I am going to conclusivly prove through rationalzation, math, and truthiness that the idea of "Men don't listen" is a myth.



Everyone agrees that women talk a lot more then men, which means that men have to listen a lot more then women do.

So lets say on avarage a man has to be aware of 300 things a girl has said. Obviously a man will not to pay attention and remember all of these things, so he might keep track of half of these things.



On the other hand a guy does not expect a girl to keep track of anything he says but instead to listen to him when he does say something.

A man might only have a max of 8 things a week he expects a girl to listen to. Usually this will include a critisism or 2; girls always take critisisms as an attack and turns it into an unessicary argument, thus she completely misses the point of what you said and this does not count as a listen. Another thing a man wants a girl to listen to is when she misconstrews what a guy said but then she does not let him explain what he ment. So on avarage a girl will only listen to about 5 of these 8 things a man says.



So a man missed 150 things a woman said while the woman only missed 3 things. However at least 1/4 of the things a man missed are things that a woman has contradicted herself on and thus do not count as a miss. Thus a man has still missed about 112 things which is a lot more then the 3 things a woman missed.

That means a man missed 37% of what a woman has said while at the same time a woman has missed 38% of what a guy has said. Thus proving that men listen as much if not more then woman.

Plus take into account that the things men missed are because he just forgot or didn't pay attention, while at the same the things a girl missed are because she just refused to listen.
