Work is over, tomorrow is Sunday. Ready to enjoy my God-given, much needed, hallelujah-its-here day of rest

Feeling much better today. Work wasn't so long last night and I have a little bit of breathing room until my next shift. I was reminded this morning that each day is always its own beast. Sometimes its a gentle companion, sometimes a vicious predator. Sometimes you tame it, sometimes you wrestle it, sometimes it ravages you so hard you're afraid you won't make it to tomorrow. But it always falls away as soon as you close your eyes for the evening, and the next morning a whole new one comes along. Do not let yesterday's beast determine today's. You never know when the wolf will be replaced by the lamb. Each and every morning, decide that today, this day, you will be ok, no matter the beast that lies ahead.

Work today was just rough. Too many people, too little time, was barely able to even eat my lunch. Ready to be home, in bed, with my kitty on one arm and a book on the other

Been a long time since I was on here. Back because life can be rough and repetitive and sometimes, you just want a little change to brighten it up. So, here I am, moving towards the darkness yet again, because sometimes all a bright light does is make you blind to what's real
