I've always had a soft spot for tragic love stories. Perhaps it's because they seem to be more grounded in reality than the tales of "happily ever after"...or maybe because they more closely match my own life experiences. Love is often a two edged sword: one side elicits the most wonderful feelings and emotions, while the other brings about the worst kind of pain and misery...



I was very fortunate last year to meet the one I've searched for my entire life...an amazing woman with such strength, fire, and passion. She was somehow able to reawaken the man trapped deep inside of the monster that I had become. Much like Davy Jones, I had buried my heart long ago and had given up the foolish notion that I would ever find real love...but quite unexpectedly, I found my Calypso and have embarked on an extraordinary but perilous journey with her towards a new life...
