A peice of silver sunshine,

Accentuates her smile.

And in that instant,

I would forfiet my life.

If only she asked.

Her tears a goden raindrop,

falling from the dark,

Illuminating my way.

And inthat instant,

I love her.

A butterfly beating its wings,

Is harsher than her laugh.

And when she laughs at me,

All problems fade away.

Because she's happy.

And I'm sorry now,

I could do no more.

For if she chose this fateful path,

I cannot save her.

No matter how many times

I compare her beauty to;

sunshine, raindrops and butterflies.

For if life were to choose this path for her,

My hand could never stop her.

I could wait away forever,

And I would.

If only she'd ask.

Sleep as lovers

Last night I dreamt of you,

And you'll rule my deams tonight again,

I dreamt I saw you there,

On the terace, bathed with moonlight.

I saw you call out to me,

With a rose, pure winter.

I smiled, and I'll smile again,

As I dream of you.

But as I lift my eyes,

And shake the sleep away,

I know my dreams arent true,

An in time they'll fade to stay.

Even now, the rose does wilt,

And that I know is true.

Untill the nightI sleep again,

And dare to dream of you.

On the wings of a butterfly,

The pure truth breaks out.

All around us hatred stirs,

To that there is no doubt.

Close to us there is death,

They crey, they scream, they doubt.

But tey cannot break free,

No matter how they shout.

What are we god for?

All 'round us people stare.

The president leans back now,

In his new designer chair.

Broken mirrors, shattered lies,

Still, no one does care.

Rip off the shadow of deciept,

Leaving us quite bare.

If that is all thats true,

I'd rather not take part.

Side to side with those fools,

With such open black hearts.

Fear inspires many things,

And evil it does start.

But many people do protest,

For war they are too smart.

A bead of sweat rolls down his brow,

He sits in the dank rotting cell,

Charged for a crime he did not commit.

The rotting flesh of his companions

invades his nose,

Thoughts of his daughters cries break his mind.

He was not aquitted of this crime.

He cannot wash the blood off his hands,

The sorrow reflects the beast within.

Your concience roams the streets unleashed,

While and innocent man is condemned to death,

This is justice?

Who can hold right or wrong?

How can one convict another?

Each persn more guilty than the next.

Our faults combined,

So dear to us,

Reinvent the sins of our ancestors.

Swallow us whole,

For we have no soul,

Not scince our blood lust took over.

She screams! She screams!

But no one does care.

The people all 'round her,

Point now and stare.

She laughs! She laughs!

But no one can hear.

The laughter of insanity,

Still rings in her ear.

She cries! She cries!

But not a tissue is found.

She wants to leave now,

But to the earth she is bound.

She dies! She dies!

With the blade in her hand.

She used to have dreams,

All now burried in sand.
