Like every one, there is a ton going on in my life. Sure i smile and put on a happy face as much as the next person but sometimes when I close my eyes there in the darkness of the night and my dreams are all I really have left are my thoughts to keep me company.





The Dream



I woke up in absolute darkness and made my way to the wall and door but when I got there, there wasn't a door at all. I reached for a light switch but that too was gone. So I ran my hands over the wall walking around the room only to find there was no doors, no windows nothing.



I tried to go back to the bed but it had disappeared so I just sat down on the floor. I remember I pulled my knees to my chest, wrapping my arms around them and rested my head on my knees. I was so cold and missed the light.



Suddenly there were whispers in the darkness just telling me to open up. I was frightened at first but then they were almost comforting, so I let out a huge sigh. Just then the cieling was pulled away and I was looking up into this monster set of eyes that were staring down at me.



As i looked at the eyes I recognized them, they were my own and I was sitting in a box. Suddenly I switched places with myself and was holding a shoe box I had just taken the lid off of and was staring down at myself in the box.



The whispers came again telling me that I had to set myself free. So I put the lid back on the box and sat it on the floor. In a blink I was back in the box but this time it was filled with light. A room made of cardboard filled with light.



The whispers came again asking me if I was ready. I looked at the wall and there were 2 doors. I walked over and opened the first and it opened to a beautiful park or something filled with warm sunlight. I closed the door and decided to open the other one. It opened to cool air and darkness.



I took a deep breath, turned off the light and stepped through the door into the darkness. As I walked into the darkness there were shadows all around me and sitting on the ground in the shadow was the shoe box I had just left only shoe box sized.



I just walked away and then.



Woke-up
