Wiccan Sabbats: (Seasonal days of Celebration) There are eight Wiccan Sabbats, spaced about 45 days apart during the year. Four of these are minor Sabbats: the two equinoxes of March 21 and September 21st when the daytime and nighttime are each 12 hours long. The Saxons added the two solstices of December 21, (the longest night of the year) and June 21 (the shortest night of the year). Actually, the exact date of these Sabbats vary from year to year and may occur from the 20th to 23rd of the month. The major Sabbats are also four in number. They occur roughly midway between the minor Sabbats, typically at the end of a month. Different Wiccan traditions assign various names and dates to these festivals. Perhaps the most common names are Celtic: Samhain (Oct. 31), Imbolc (Feb. 2), Beltane (Apr. 30), and Lammas (Aug. 1). Dates are approximate. Some Wiccans observe the Sabbat within a few days of the nominal date. The Sabbats are believed to have originated in the cycles associated with hunting, farming, and animal fertility.

Rites of passage: These include:

Dedication, when a person confirms an interest in the craft.

Initiation, when a person symbolically dies and is reborn as a Wiccan; a new name is adopted.

Handfasting was originally a marriage for a one year period. Most Wiccans now regard it as creating a permanent partnership.

Parting of the Ways, which recognizes the end of a marriage.

Wiccaning, which welcomes a baby into the craft, but does not obligate the child in any way.

Funeral Ceremony, a requiem for a Wiccan who has died.

THE WICCAN CODE OF CONDUCT

I will live every day in Dignity, Courage, Honor, and Truth; with good humor and a gracious manner.

I will obey the Laws of the land as much as possible and within reason.

I will exercise discipline in all I think, say, and do; knowing the responsibility for the consequences of my thoughts, words, and deeds are mine; and mine alone.

I will pledge my friendship and loyalty to those who deserve it. Strengthening others will always strengthen myself.

I will not condemn other religions. All people are entitled to worship in their own way ~ they are neither better, nor worse, just different.

When visiting another Coven, Clan, or Grove, I will respect their traditions.

I will not reveal another Witch or Coven's secrets. What is theirs to share is not mine to give away.

I will abide always by The Wiccan Rede ~ "Do as ye will, an it harm none."

Sagittarius

23:54 Oct 12 2016
Times Read: 335

Sagittarius is one of the high-spirited zodiac signs. The symbol contains a centaur made of half horse and half archer. This symbol exhibits powerful traits of a man and a horse with the former overpowering the later. The archer aims his bow with the arrow towards the sky showing his incurable optimistic attitude and thirst for knowledge. The attitude towards life helps him/her find a silver lining on any dark cloud. Due to the strong association of this personality with horse, people belonging to this zodiac sign love indulging in outdoor activities like traveling and hiking.

Element – Fire--The element of this sign is Fire which symbolizes warmth and light. This element tends to exercise its presence without any prior forethought or judgment. Hence, a Sagittarius relies more on his intuitions and instincts rather than believing on forecast judgments. The element - Fire for a Sagittarian, also closely relates to motivation driven by inspiration to achieve the goals preset in life.

Jupiter is the king of the solar system, needless to say the largest planet! A Sagittarian is ruled by this planet which symbolizes practicality, opportunism and strong self-belief. It encourages the personality to think big, live life as an adventure and strike the iron when it is hot.

Strengths-- Sagittarius personalities are incurably optimistic. They love and value freedom more than anything in life. In fact, one can identify Sagittarian personalities by just looking at them. They are the most cheerful, gregarious and enthusiastic people of the zodiac, who welcome challenges with open arms. Their blind trust on survival instincts and intuitions make them natural risk takers. They do not have any anticipations about the outcome of their actions and take the leap without any expected judgment. But if they find their leap has got them in a mess, they are smart enough to crawl out of such situations pertaining to their cognitive thought process.

Weaknesses--A Sagittarian personality can be extremely lazy at times and can act sullen if his wings of freedom are chopped. Although, these personalities welcome challenges, they might, at times ignore situations because of their aversion to anxiety and worry. Most of them are quite extroverted personalities and over indulge in anything that intrigues them. They have a frank and straight outlook towards life and hence, may appear blunt in expressing opinions which may not be always pleasant. Because of their love for freedom, they are quite difficult when it comes to making commitments in relationships. Apart from their talkativeness, they are also a bit careless.

Honesty and Frankness--A Sagittarius female is outrightly honest and outspoken in expressing her opinions without caring a damn for what the world thinks of her. This is where she differs from other females. Her brusqueness can trigger fire sparks if not interpreted correctly.

Emotional yet Rational--Females belonging to this zodiac sign are quite sentimental and emotional by nature, although, they try their best to camouflage this nature of theirs. As far as a Sagittarius female's feelings are concerned, she is too headstrong to reveal her softer side. But she is quite level-headed and optimistic about things in life. She does not dwell in the world of illusions but believes in practicality and rationalism.

Trustful yet Analytical--When it comes to trust, females of this sign do it blindly. This is also a reason as to why they are quite vulnerable and defenseless in situations where they meet not so good people. However, they are quite good at analyzing their goof ups rather than cribbing over spilt milk! And they are careful enough not to repeat the same mistakes!

Calm yet Fiery--A Sagittarius female is usually calm and composed and loves making friends. But if she is offended, she will not hesitate to lash back and one gets to see the blues if a she is in real bad mood! Sarcasm of a Sagittarian female instigated by her resentment can be very stingy. But the funny part is that she forgets her remarks quite soon and will start wondering whatever she did to hurt the other person!

Independence and Freedom--Sagittarius females love and value their independence. If their freedom is curtailed for any reason, you will get to see the devil in her! Not to miss, she is a rationally headstrong female who will oblige only to politely made requests and not to orders!

Overall, a Sagittarius female is a vivacious and ebullient personality, who can make heads turn just by her honesty and charm! But yes, they are the most extravagant females of the zodiac and are impulsive buyers. So guys out there, before approaching a Sagittarius female, make sure you can satiate her shopping appetite!

Sagittarius love personality is such that people of this zodiac sign do not want to get confined to a thing which can be a place or time or a relation. The compatibility between Aries and Sagittarius is the best as per astrology. Being freedom lovers with a striking spontaneity, Sagittarius people bond well with Aries who share a common temperament. Apparently, the Mars-Jupiter duo make a good match. A Sagittarius personality is vibrant and inquisitive. They are like wild stallions who love to race towards their dreams without any hindrance to their freedom. Difficult to catch though, they make quite loyal and truthful partners if committed to a relationship. But above all, Sagittarius the archers make the best of friends

Spirits

23:53 Oct 12 2016
Times Read: 336

1. Thrones - the top-level of evil spirits.

These spirits are the elohim that form God's council. They were appointed by God to rule the gentile nations, whereas God took it upon himself to rule Israel. The elohim were worshipped by the gentile nations as gods beside God Almighty himself. Some of their names are mentioned in the Bible, such as Baal, Marduk, Molech, Astarte and Dagon. There are 70 thrones in all, including the good spirits and the evil spirits. Satan himself is also reckoned in the elohim.

" Most of the elohim are loyal to God, but a third of them are following Satan.

2. Dominions

"Dominions are the evil spirits ruling continents and/or ethnic groups.

Does "the spirit of Africa" ring a bell?"

3. Principalities

Principalities are the evil spirits ruling countries or states. A principality is the territory or jurisdiction of a prince. One example of a principality is the prince of Persia mentioned in Daniel 10.

"The angel said to me, "Daniel, God loves you. Stand up and listen carefully to what I am going to say. I have been sent to you." When he had said this, I stood up, still trembling. Then he said, "Daniel, don't be afraid. God has heard your prayers ever since the first day you decided to humble yourself in order to gain understanding. I have come in answer to your prayer. The angel prince of the kingdom of Persia opposed me for twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief angels, came to help me, because I had been left there alone in Persia." (Dan 10:11-13 GNB)

4. Powers

The powers are the evil spirits ruling provinces or counties. They infiltrate provincial governments and influence legislation on that level.

5. Rulers of darkness of this world

The rulers of darkness are evil spirits ruling cities and towns. They would work in municipalities and local churches, trying to make their doctrines accepted by the city leaders.

6. Spiritual wickedness in high places

High places in the Old Testament are were where worship was carried out. These are the evil spirits targeting ordinary people with the aim of tormenting or possessing them.

Different kinds of evil spirits

Foul or unclean spirits

Unclean spirits afflict the mind and the soul of man. They are responsible for unclean thoughts, immoral acts, depression, oppression and possession. When Satan controls individuals with unclean spirits, he can also operate in all spheres where those individuals are active.

"And when He had called to Him His twelve disciples, He gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease." (Mat 10:1 MKJV)

"When the unclean spirit has gone out of a man, he walks through dry places seeking rest, and finds none." (Mat 12:43 MKJV)

"And in their synagogue was a man with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, saying, What is to us and to You, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know You, who You are, the Holy One of God. And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Be quiet, and come out of him. And the unclean spirit, convulsing him, and crying with a loud voice, he came out of him. They all were amazed, so as to question among themselves, saying, What is this? What new doctrine is this? For He even commands the unclean spirits with authority, and they obey Him." (Mar 1:23-27 MKJV)

Lying spirits

"And now, behold, Jehovah has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these your prophets,

and Jehovah has spoken evil concerning you." (1Ki 22:23 MKJV)

Evil spirits of deception

"And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the breath of His mouth and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming, whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceit of unrighteousness in those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, so that they might be saved." (2Th 2:8-10 MKJV)

These evil spirits actually work miracles which lead some to believe they are of God.

"And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are spirits of demons, working miracles, which go forth to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that day, the great day of God Almighty." (Rev 16:13-14 MKJV)

Deaf-and-dumb spirits

"And seeing that a crowd is running together, Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to him, Dumb and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter no more into him!" (Mar 9:25 MKJV)

Evil spirits of infirmity

These evil spirits afflict the physical body.

"And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and she was bowed together and was not able to be completely erect." (Luk 13:11 MKJV)

"Then one who had been demon-possessed was brought to Him, blind and dumb. And He healed him, so much so that the blind and dumb one both spoke and saw." (Mat 12:22 MKJV)

"and by the surpassing revelations, lest I be made haughty, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be made haughty." (2Co 12:7 MKJV)

Evil spirits of oppression

"how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, and He went about doing good, and healing all those who were oppressed by the Devil, for God was with Him." (Act 10:38 MKJV)

Evil spirits of seduction

Seducing spirits afflict the mind, soul, and spirit of man, influencing him to believe false doctrines. They are spirits of false doctrine, cults, false Christs, and false teachers. These spirits induce people to believe lies and be damned to eternal punishment.

"But the Spirit expressly says that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and teachings of demons," (1Ti 4:1 MKJV)

Evil seducing spirits sear the conscience; they seduce, entice, tempt, allure, excite, attract and arouse. Satan craves worship and he will take it any way he can get it. Seducing spirits entice men and women to worship idols and even Satan himself.

Evil spirits of divination (also called familiar spirits)

"And as we went to prayer, it happened that a certain girl possessed with a spirit of divination met us, who brought her masters much gain by divining." (Act 16:16 MKJV)

Spirits of divination operate in fortune tellers, witches, and in palm- crystal ball- and tea leaf readers. Through these unscriptural methods the spirits of divination foretell the future or reveal knowledge that is naturally unknown.

Demons

23:51 Oct 12 2016
Times Read: 337

There are five types of demons or dark forces.

Shapeshifting Giant Demons

Lesser Demons

Dark ET's and Reptilians/greys

Fallen Angels

Sorcerer Spirit Entities or Negative Spirit Entities (spirits that have chosen to work with the dark forces)

Shapeshifting Giant Demons

Shape shifting giant demons are the most highly advanced type of demons. They are whole non-human dark energy beings with an extremely high intelligence and ego. There are able to move in and around the energy body (aura) and the physical body. They are able to jump in and out of this realm and into theirs. They can be seen as balls of black energy in the energy field by those that have psychic gifts of vision. They are the major threat in the battle over humanity. They were never angels or light beings or came from the light, they were all born out of dark energy and dark consciousness. They are the most elusive and hardest to remove because they are able to shield themselves from the vision and detection of most healers. They are the most common and can be found on most people who have attachments. The only way they can detected is through shamanic journeying or dowsing with a pendulum. Shapeshifters have been on earth since the beginning of time but more recently they have evolved in the ways they function with humans.

Lesser demons

Lesser demons are the lower form of demon. They are not as advanced in the way they work as the shapeshifters but they still possess and a dark and negative power. Lesser demons are a combination of masses of dark and negative souls that have been compressed together to form a dark energy being. Lesser demons are a weaker and less powerful form of demon but hey are still a threat.

Dark ET's Reptilians

Dark ET's and Reptilians are alien dark forces. They work together with the demons of the dark side. There more advanced then the demons of the dark forces and they control and are leaders of many demons. Dark ET's and reptilians are on a much higher level of power than the demons and therefore retain a higher intelligence because of that. Dark ET's are harder to remove because of there level of intelligence and power. Dark ET's work on a much deeper level within humans to separate them from there higher soul or higher level of power. Dark ET's and reptilians also steal the astral body or spirit body of many humans while they sleep and dream. Dark ET's have also created a conflict with the laws of the universe by interfering with the freewill of the human population.

Fallen Angels

Fallen Angels are dark angelic beings. Fallen Angels were once light beings but over time they chose to have power over and control the human race. They chose the darkside and were separated from the angels of the light. Fallen angels are extremely rare and have been found to only possess female women. They are not a major threat in the battle of power over the human race.

Sorcerer spirit entities and Negative Spirit Entities

Negative spirit entities are human souls who at the time of death did not choose to cross over to the other side. But they are much different then other human souls that are trapped on earth. They in some way have chosen to help and aid the dark forces in their work to have power over humans. NSE work alongside the dark forces to share in the manipulation and energy stealing from humans.

Sorcerer Spirit Entities are a special group of negative spirits that have chosen a much darker path then the ordinary negative spirit entities. SSE exist by stealing soul pieces and personal power from the people they possess. SSE work together with demons to have more power over the person they possess. Many sse were at one time sorcerers in there life on earth. Sorcerers were people that worked with the power of the darkside to have power over other people. Many sorcerers were from the medieval ages but still Sorcerers can be found in all walks of life in modern times from the energy thief that wastes your time and steals your energy to the rapist who steals the power of the women he rapes. SSE steal and hold parts of personal power from the peopl they possess and when they are removed they must give up the parts of power they have stolen.

Watcher Demons

Watcher demons are demons that are waiting around you for a dor to open so they can attach to you. Watcher demons can only hang around you and wait for a door to open so they can attach to you. Watcher demons are potential threats so they must also be removed.

What they do to you:

Dark forces have a variety of symptoms they cause humans to have. The most common are:

emotional pain, depression, low energy levels (tiredness), constant fatigue, suicidal thoughts and/or attempts, drug and/or alcohol addictions, unhealthy addictions, over eating, hearing voices in the mind, strange or weird thoughts that don't seem your own, being directed by an inner voice, most mental illness, mental or emotional instability, poor concentration, mood swings, multiple personalities, confusion, deep anger/aggressiveness, nightmares or any negative/terrifying dreams/day dreams, sleep paralysis, anxiety, paranoia, constant negative or fear based thoughts and/or emotions, waking up tired after a full night's rest, criminal and/or violent behaviors, sexual abuse, mental noise (unclear thinking), dark thoughts and/or impulses, unexplained physical pain or problems without any known cause, constantly sabotaging yourself or others, negative beliefs, religious fanaticism, abusing or attacking others either emotionally, physically etc., energy stealing among people (psychic vampires), limited/lower consciousness, feelings of giving everything up, feeling your life is being controlled by something outside of yourself, constantly trying to control or have power over others, loss of your purpose/path in life, loss of your power/soul and more.

Hauntings

Tennessee:

The most famous haunting in America actually took place in Tennessee and is known as the Bell Witch. This phenom struck the unfortunate Bell Family in 1817-1821 and ended with the death of farmer Bell. The spirit was supposedly the neighbor of Farmer John Bell and she’d had bad dealings with him over the purchase of slaves, so apparently decided to torment him and his family, friends, guests from the afterlife. The violent ghost would scratch, poke, kick, slap, and pull the family from their beds, tormenting the adults and children. The haunting was so well-known that even President Andrew Jackson stopped by to see what was going on and she (the ghost was Katie) stalled his wagon wheels. Eventually she tormented Farmer Bell enough that when he was sick he never recovered and was found with a bottle of poison nearby. She was said to have laughed and screamed at his funeral and remained to torment his family for a while longer before finally disappearing and reappearing sporadically. There is now a cave on the property where the haunting took place that is said to still have paranormal happenings. Approach if you dare!

New Orleans

1. LaLaurie Mansion

Many have heard the tale of Madame LaLaurie and her torture chamber on Royal Street.

Born in New Orleans, the prominent Delphine LaLaurie was married three times over the course of her life.

The origin of the ghostly tale begins in 1832 when Dr. Louis LaLaurie and Delphine moved to a Creole mansion in the French Quarter. Known for their wealth and prominence, the house was attended to by dozens of slaves.

Following a fire in the mansion's kitchen, the horrors of the home were revealed. Legend has it that behind a barred door in the attic was a torture chamber for those enslaved. Many stories detail the cruelty involved; men and women chained to the walls, children shut inside cages and body parts strewn across the floor.

LaLaurie later fled to Paris, believed to be run from town by an outraged mob.

Tales of lingering are said to haunt the grounds. Others say the ghost of Delphine LaLaurie herself haunts the mansion.

2. St. Louis Cemetery No. 1

Established by the Spanish in 1789, many of the city's early occupants and infamous personalities are interred here, including Marie Laveau. It has also been named the 'Most Haunted Cemetery in the United States.'

Pirates, aristocrats, politicians, killers, artists and the Queen of Voodoo are interred on the grounds. With over so many dead interred, it's no wonder the cemetery has heard its fair share of ghost stories.

Phantom figures and yellow fever victims reportedly stalk the rows of crypts. However, the most famous spirit believed to roam the grounds is that of Marie Laveau, New Orleans' Queen of Voodoo. Some believe that Laveau materializes annually of St. John's Eve (June 23) to lead the voodoo faithful in worship.

3. The Myrtles Mansion

Although not in New Orleans, the Myrtles Plantation is just a short day trip from the city.

The antebellum plantation sits in St. Francisville, Louisiana. It has been touted as one of “America's Most Haunted Homes.” The home was built in 1796. Since it was erected, it has been the home to many prominent figures.

It's said to be haunted by over a dozen spirits and ghosts. Some claim the home has seen ten murders on the grounds. However, historical records show just one. In the 1800s, William Winter was shot and killed on the porch of the home. His killer is unknown.

Aside from Winter, numerous other figures reportedly haunt the grounds. The home is said to be built on an Indian burial ground. Other say it's haunted the ghosts of prior slaves and young children.

Two particularly frightening stories stem from photographs showing alleged spirits and ghosts.

According to the plantation's website, a young slave girl (known as Chloe) was photographed on the grounds of the plantation. Another photo depicts what appears to be a young, antebellum girl staring out of a window behind two visitors (photos in slideshow above).

4. Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop Bar

A small tavern located on the corner of Bourbon and St. Philip, it is one of the oldest surviving buildings in New Orleans.

Built sometime between 1722 and 1732, Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop Bar is reputed to be the oldest structure used as a bar in the United States.

From 1772 and 1791, the property was believed to have been used by Jean and Pierre Lafitte. It was used as a New Orleans base for their Barataria smuggling operations, according to legend.

A French-American pirate and privateer, Jean Lafitte plundered the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Some stories claim the buccaneer's treasure is buried in the building's bricks. A fireplace grate in the downstairs of the bar is rumored to be the resting place of some of the plunder. Some say a pair of ghostly red eyes can be seen staring from the grate.

Other legends say the ghost of a pirate guarding the treasure haunts the bar. Some also say the spirit of Jean Lafitte roams the tavern.

5. Hotel Monteleone

Built in 1886, the Beaux Arts-style Hotel Monteleone in the French Quarter is known for its rotating Carousel Piano Bar and Lounge.

It's also known as one of the premier haunted hotels in New Orleans.

The hotel reportedly has a restaurant door that opens and closes every night, even though it is locked. Elevators stop on wrong floors, leading visitors down eerily chilly halls.

Legend states that a former employee, a man named William “Red” Wildemere, died inside the hotel of natural causes. Visitors reports seeing him inside.

A toddler spirit name ‘Maurice' is also said to roam the halls. He allegedly died in the hotel and his distraught parents returned frequently in hopes he might visit them.

10 Most Haunted Places in America by www.sixwise.com

1. Bachelor's Grove Cemetery, Midlothian, IL

This 1800s-era cemetery has been largely abandoned since 1965, and since then has fallen victim to vandals. Among the toppled tombstones it is said that satanic and occultist groups perform ceremonies, and over 100 reports of strange phenomena have been collected.

Among them, ghost lights, inexplicable lights and voices, apparitions, strange photos, anomalous recordings and sightings of unbelievable creatures. There is also a nearby haunted lagoon, a phantom farmhouse and a stretch of haunted turnpike near Bachelor's Grove.

2. The Lemp Mansion, St. Louis, Missouri

Built in the 1860s by the Lemp family (who created "Falstaff" beer), the Lemp Mansion is said to be haunted by the family, which was surrounded by tragedy. William Lemp's son died in 1904, and afterward William committed suicide in the house. In 1920, his daughter also committed suicide, and later so did William Lemp, Jr., and Charles Lemp, leaving the family completely torn apart.

Since then, the house was sold and became a boarding house and later, in 1977, a fine restaurant (which is still open today). Workers and boarding tenants have reported feelings of being watched, vanishing tools, strange sounds, apparitions, glasses flying through the air, a piano playing by itself, voices and other strange occurrences.

3. Villisca Ax Murder House, Villisca, Iowa

In 1912, the J.B. Moore family (the parents and their four children), along with two children who were staying over that night, was murdered in their beds in a shocking crime for this otherwise small, peaceful community. The murders were never solved, but since then many unusual phenomena have been reported in the house. The Moore home was restored and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1998, and today is open to overnight visitors.

Guests have reported children's voices and laughter, falling lamps, moving objects, and odd sounds, while others have recorded audio, video and photographic evidence of supernatural activities. Psychics who have visited the home have also reportedly communicated with spirits.

4. The Old Slave House (Hickory Hill), Junction, IL

The Hickory Hill mansion was built in 1842 by a wealthy man, John Hart Crenshaw, who owned several salt tracts. Although it was illegal to own slaves in Illinois at this time, it was legal to lease slaves from other states to work in the salt mines.

Crenshaw imprisoned slaves, some of whom were kidnapped, in the attic of the mansion in narrow cells and manacles. He reportedly tortured and beat the slaves for many years, and also "bred" his own slaves, until eventually his cruel practices were discovered and he retired to become a farmer.

In the 1920s, the house was opened as a tourist attraction where slavery existed in Illinois, however tourists began reporting sounds of people crying and moaning coming from the attic, cold chills, and whispers. Things intensified when a ghost hunter named Hickman Whittington went to the attic shortly after it opened and spent a few hours there. Though he was in perfect health at the time, he died a few hours after leaving the mansion.

Reportedly, hundreds of people tried to spend the night in the attic after Whittington's death, but would leave, terrorized, before morning (one man did finally spend the night there in 1978, and reported strange sounds).

Currently, the Hickory Hills mansion is owned by the state of Illinois, and is scheduled to open as a historic site (but has not yet re-opened to visitors).

5. The Winchester Mansion, San Jose, California

Sarah Winchester, a wealthy widow, built the 160-room Victorian Winchester mansion in 1884. It was such an unprecedented project that construction workers worked on the home 24 hours a day for 38 years. The home has many bizarre features, built to keep out evil spirits, including false doors, a room built for séances (where Sarah developed building plans that ghosts sent to her) and a stairway that leads to the ceiling, and many supernatural occurrences have happened there.

Sarah Winchester reportedly spoke to spirits nightly at midnight and since then people have reported organ music in the Blue Room where Sarah died, apparitions, cold spots, a smell of chicken soup in the kitchen, red balls of light and more. Today visitors can take tours of the mansion (including special nighttime flashlight tours).

6. Bobby Mackey's Music World, Wilder, Kentucky

Bobby Mackey's Music World is a dance hall that was once (in the 1850s) a slaughterhouse. Devil worshippers reportedly used the slaughterhouse's basement, which collected animal blood, for rituals, including one in which a woman was beheaded.

In the 1920s, the building was a speakeasy and several mob murders reportedly occurred on the site. Since it was converted into a dancehall in 1976, at least 30 people have signed affidavits that supernatural happenings have occurred there, including appearances of ghosts dressed in old-fashioned, cowboy-type clothing.

A customer even claims to have been assaulted by a ghost in the bathroom, which caused him to break his arm. He's suing Bobby Mackey for not ridding the building of spirits.

7. Myrtles Plantation, St. Francisville, Louisiana

Now a bed-and-breakfast, the Myrtles Plantation is said to house many ghosts and spirits due to 10 murders and 1 suicide that have occurred there since it was built in 1796. Among them are the ghosts of Cleo, a former slave who was hung for poisoning two little girls, the ghosts of the little girls, and William Winter, a former owner who was shot on the front porch.

Other apparitions seen by visitors include ghosts from the slave graveyard on the property, and a ghost that meets guests at the inn's gate and says the plantation is closed. A psychic who visited the building said visiting the parlor was like walking into a "crowded cocktail party of spirits," while the owner of the bed-and-breakfast said the ghosts have proven to her that there's life after death.

8. John Stone's Inn, Ashland, Massachusetts

Captain John Stone's Inn is a 164-year-old pub, which once served as a hiding place for runaway slaves and was the location of speeches by Daniel Webster. Customers and employees of the pub report the apparition of a 10-year-old girl in a storage room near the kitchen, moving objects and invisible hands that hold their hands under the ice when filling ice buckets. There were two televised séances held here during which the spirits of a little girl, a woman innkeeper and Captain John Stone were reportedly contacted.

9. Devil's Promenade, Hornet, Missouri

There is an unexplained ball of orange light that has been seen every night since 1866 on a two-mile stretch of road known as the Devil's Promenade. Legend suggests the light is the ghost of two Quapaw Indians who were in love and committed suicide together. Another theory is that it is the lantern of a miner's ghost who is looking for his missing wife and children, who were abducted.

The light -- also called the Hornet Ghost Light, the Neosho Spook Light, and the Devil's Jack o' Lantern -- is known to enter cars, dodge people and leave glowing traces and sparks behind as it moves. The Army Corps of Engineers investigated the phenomenon in 1946 and concluded it was "a mysterious light of unknown origin." The light was also investigated by the Ghost Research Society in 1983, which found it was a diamond-shaped light with a hollow center.

10. United States Air Force Museum, Dayton, Ohio

Night guards report moving objects, apparitions and unexplained voices and sounds at this military museum. Among the occurrences:

Parts from the "Lady Be Good," a B-24 that crashed in the Libyan Desert in World War II, killing seven crewmembers, move by themselves.

Strange lights appear in the "Strawberry Bitch," another B-24.

The ghost of the helicopter "Hop-Along's" co-pilot can be seen flipping switches in an attempt to get the craft moving.

The "Black Maria," a helicopter, is haunted by its pilot, who was killed in Vietnam.

The ghost of a Japanese boy has been seen standing next to "Bockscar," the bomber that dropped the A-bomb on Nagasaki.
