Good is Evil and Evil is Good

*One day, long, long ago there lived an old man together with his son. They did not have much, not much at all. The old man had a straw hat, a couple shirts, pants as the same as the son and together they owned a hut, a horse and a little land that they used for they existence; farming what they could, etc. All this within a small village of few other citizens (surely not more than twenty families. Well, one day the old man and his son was using the horses power for moving weight as was the case any other day, that suddenly the horse began to go extremely wild acting in a way she has never done in the years of the old mans possession. The great wild drama ending in the horses chaotic departure, the old man didn’t lament, he simply went into his hut. After the small community heard what happened specially because of a gossipy on looker, the town just went wild; barging there way to the lil’old mans hut, each professing there sorrows about how bad what had happened was. The lil old man did not see it that way at all and begun to tell them so: “..this is not something bad”…..”how do you know this is something bad for me?..”. But the villages people didn’t understand him and simply brushed what he had said aside taking it for mere denial. After a week or so had past funny to the case, the horse! The horse had shown back up, but now, the horse was not alone, she had brought a friend. Not surprisingly the old man was not amused. However, Here comes the most of that small community– “this is so wonderful…this so goooood….now we know what you meant!” exclaimed them all. The old man, with son at side, could only sigh, saying “how do you know what is good for me?....now stop your celebration, for you do not know what is good!”. Now this quickly changed the mood in the atmosphere, resulting in them communicating amongst themselves in agreement that perhaps he is getting old and his mental state is taking a turn. Willingly, yet with jagged vibrations, they left.

Days shortly after, the son, out with the new horse, gave a quite loooud, Yelp! The neighbors heard it. All came to see what had came of it. Apparently the new horse; untamed or trained and not welcoming such a unfree life as the other horse, bucked up and kicked the boy in the hip and leg, breaking it and fleeing for freedom. Ooohhhh the emotions of that crowd. Oooohhhh the woes and cries. The Old man, at harmonious mind states remained unperturbed. In view of this, the crowd went hysterical. Yelling out “that he is clearly deranged….unfit to care for crop much less his own son”. They were quite furious, leaving with great misery upon their shoulders.

Only a couple of days later, the military of the region had arrived to the village. In search for all the healthy young men to join an ongoing battle at the time, all had to participate, none could be left behind. All except for the ‘unhealthy’ son of the old man. Faces surly dropped that day. But the worst for them was yet to come, No sons (of that age range tooken) were to return. So in the future, everytime time people of the community would lament about this or that, the man would reply “you don’t know, you just don’t know”.*
