I am putting together everything I can find on BDSM in this section. I hope you enjoy the information.

Submission

You live to serve! You're most excited when someone else takes the reins and controls the situation. You're happy to do whatever will make your partner happy, even if it isn't your favorite thing to do. In the bedroom, you aim to please. Your motto is, Yes Ma'am/Sir!

BDSM: Bondage&Discipline, Domination/submission, Sadism/masochism. Often collectively referred to as just "SM." Recently, there has been a movement to distinguish more clearly the differences between these practices, with those outside of SM desiring to distance themselves from negative perceptions of sado-masochism.

BDSM has three different groupings.

B&D- Bondage and Domination

D&S- Domination and Submission

S&M- Sadism/Machoism

[Domination] is the desire to exert control over a consenting partner for the purpose of mutual gratification.

[Consenuality] is really the first law of D&S communities ....Clear, informed, and verbalized consent is the moral dividing line between brutality and D&S: Partners must voluntarily and knowingly give full consent to D&S activity before it begins.

[Mutual] The essence of domination is to take another's power and then use it for mutual pleasure.

[Power exchange] is the empowerment of the dominant by the submissive's surrender to his/her control. Power exchange is consensual and should be well negotiated. The depth of the power yielded by the submissive is equal to the level of responsibility assumed by the dominant.

[Negotiation] is the process of determining the practices of sexual and SM activities between a top [dominant] and bottom [submissive]. It may apply to the whole relationship or just a specific scene. Negotiating is an ongoing process that that is repeated as the players' needs change.

The power exchange between lovers is a fundamental source of erotic excitement, shared between equals.

The level of intimacy in a relationship depends upon the degree to which two people are willing to become vulnerable to one another. While wading through the murky swamp of a loving relationship, questions of trust, commitment, communication, and differing life objectives thrash about your legs like so many hungry alligators. Dominant and submissive roles are intended to enhance passion...It is important to set aside time to take off the masks of mysterious dominant and selfless submissive to express our real feelings.
