Included a 6 block walk out of the neighborhood, sushi for lunch and a six block walk back.

I did the laundry, cooked muffins for Scott to take to work (cranberry sparklers...lol) made jello for dessert, made dinner (pork paprikash), moved the window screen to the window in the bedroom so we don't faint in the middle of the night from the heat they DO have up here, and cleaned the carpet.

Yet I feel bad, because I only did 10 mins at 30 mph at a 5% grade, and 10 minutes at 30 mph at a 7% grade.....

Thursday July 1

Happy Canada Day everybody- I know it's late, but since I worked an 11 hour shift last night with a wedding, stringing coherent sentences together was not my forte' when I got home at 3:30 AM this morning....

When we bought the treadmill, I also purchased one of those new fangled pedometers. I figured if I could get written proof of what I do on a daily shift, the doc would get off my back. Not that work will take the place of working on the treadmill; it won't. But I was curious as to just what I put my body through on a given day. However, this thing is not going to take into account the lifting I do, so that I will estimate for you here.

I took 10,180 steps

That averaged out to 4 miles, give or take

I burned 243 calories just with that.

However, in the weightlifting department:

I lifted 6 full cases of wine at 35 pounds a piece to put them on the cart

later that night, I lifted those same cases to return them for the most part to the basement.

Include the fact that I was lifting over my head both getting them off the shelves and putting them back on.

I also lifted 8 cases of beer off the shelf in the cage, then onto the shelves in the cooler.

The average case of beer is about 18 pounds.

Bear in mind that on some of these, I was picking up TWO at a TIME.

I also moved two mobile bars out of the large room outside for another wedding tonight.

I sweated more just working than I do working out....

Today is July the second. Happy birthday to my beloved dad, who would have been 78 today. Scott is outside weed whacking his little heart out with the new toy I bought him.

I'm going to get on the treadmill for half an hour.

Stats to follow.

And I'm back

04:49 Jul 01 2010

I'm going to prove that bastard wrong.

Scott and I bought a treadmill on Sunday; happy birthday to us.

This all started because the last time I went to the doctor, I weighed in at 220.

And he of course started up on his same old "Test you for diabetes" harangue.

I am going to prove the bastard wrong. And NO ONE is ever going to call me "tubbo the wonder wife" again.

I want to see the dimples in my butt again.

I cut down to one soda a day, but added all the water I could pour down.

Fast food is being curtailed SEVERELY.

Which means I am cooking more- which of course makes SCOTT bitch, cause he's EATING more...lol

I graze at work on fruits, vegetables, and salad-the kids all have standing orders to snatch anything of the pasta/potato/carb genre briskly form my hands and toss it out. Tristan almost lost an arm the other day when he reached for the potato salad I had in my hands...lol

Yesterday-

15 minutes at a 5% grade, 3 miles per hour

5 minutes at 2% grade, 2 miles per hour

Today-

15 minutes at 5% grade, 3 miles per hour

5 minutes at 2% grade, 2 miles per hour

10 minutes at 2% grade, 3 miles per hour

2 minutes at 2 miles per hour, 0 grade.

Everyday-it'll go in here every day.

If it isn't, feel free to bitch at me ad naseum

I want to be around and fabulous when my son gets married. And I want his dad to eat his heart out the next time I go to see Connor....

Hey, any motivational speech in a storm, right?
