Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "WOW WHAT A RIDE"
"Do not assume that with age comes wisdom and maturity-with age comes more years-wisdom and maturity come from living"
From the Star Trek episode, "Shore Leave"
Here, you have to only imagine your fondest wishes,
old ones you wish to relive or new ones, anything--
fear, love, triumph...
Anything that pleases you can be made to happen.
The term is amusement park.
An old Earth name for a place where people could go
to see and do all sorts of fascinating things.
This entire planet was constructed for our race of people
As advanced as you obviously are,
and you still play?
Yes, play, Mr. Sulu.
The more complex the mind,
the greater the need for the simplicity of play.

Well, that takes care of the physical stats, but I never was a firm believer that physical was the end-all, be-all. There's too much to any given person to limit them to what you can fit into a box. My birthday is July 26th, which makes me a Leo, and I embody the bulk of the characteristics of one. I was born in Macon, Georgia, which puts me squarely in the middle of the Bible Belt-many of you will know exactly what I mean when I say that being born there and having both an obsession and a predisposition with and for vampirism is probably NOT a good thing...*chuckling* I went to church, sang in the choir, and went to a church-funded private school...all the while indulging in my need to consume everything I could find on the subject of vampirism...everybody said it was a phase, and it would pass. When it didn't, they tried to guilt me out of it. When THAT didn't work, they tried to deprive me of access...suffice it to say that at that point I decided that like my empathic abilities (although at the time I couldn't put a specific name to it) such as knowing someone wasn't feeling well or was upset before they said anything, became a definite underground and under-psyche thing. My greatest wish is that I be able to meet someone who not only can assist me in finalizing my transformation, but with whom I can become friends with and help-I suppose that would epitomize a symbiotic relationship at it's best.
Favorite movie quote: "I am here to kick ass and chew bubble gum, and I am ALL OUT OF BUBBLE GUM- Roddy Piper, "They Live"
Favorite TV show quote: [about gay marriage]
Jack McCoy: Let 'em marry. Why shouldn't they be as miserable as the rest of us?
Favorite guilty pleasure: Curling up on the couch with a bowl of brownie mix, unbaked, just mixed together, in my favorite snuggly clothes, watching "Strictly Ballroom".....
Favorite music: big band (and yes, I know how to dance to it as well...*chuckling*)
By the way, I am in my 50's in case you didn't catch that before- that means I have a legendary attitude, and I know how to use it, and I have by GOD earned to the right to do just that. I could care LESS what your sexual orientation is- most people only talk about it for either a) shock value or b) to appear cool-sex is something between two or more people that shouldn't be tossed around like a party favor. If you're straight, gay, bi or purple, I don't care-just don't come preaching to me about what I should be. If you are under the age of 21, don't even THINK you know what you are-you're too young. I am what I am, I'm currently happy with it, and I don't care what the fad of the day is. And if you think I'm going to sugar coat any answer you want from me, think again before you ask- I am honest to a fault, a good old fashioned broad, and I calls 'em as I sees 'em- and if you don't want the God's HONEST truth, don't fucking ask.
Extras: I have scars, way too many for comfort. I am plum covered UP with freckles, and yes, that means I have them everywhere (and NO I won't show you the good spots...*chuckling*) I have a rapacious appetite for books, of any kind, particularly about vampires and other "supernatural" elements. I adore reading about serial killers such as Jack the Ripper and Lizzie Borden, books about true hauntings, etc. I have developed a rather intense love for Gregory Maquire's books of late, and my devoted husband is desparately trying to get me addicted to his collection of fantasy-leading me to discover the talents of Garth Nix and David and Leigh Eddings...bless his heart, he tries to understand how I can read so fast and still retain almost everything I read...lol. But vampirism and the supernatural in any form still holds the highest place in my heart for reading material. I love to quilt and cross stitch, I am a smartass with a large attitude, and I get along with just about anybody, but piss me off or hurt somebody I care about, and you're toast.
Hobbies: Reading, movies, quilting, needlework, devouring anything about vampires and vampirism that I can find, music, trying desperately to rediscover the green thumb I had in college, cooking, and traveling.
Music Preference for the moment: Scott and I went to see a movie before Halloween, in 3-D and IMAX (good lord, bring on the dramamine) called "Haunted Castle". By the time I was back to the house, I was on the computer looking for EVERYTHING by Jasper Steverlinck, Arid, Kyoko Baertson, Lunascape, and Hooverphonic. I reckon that makes me a tad bit obsessive, but what the hell....this guy can go from rockin' to opera in the blink of an eye, and her voice could melt diamonds....I was totally entranced, and still am...
